Re: Feature query
Yep. I'm thinking they log the virtual as usual. Log plus photo.
If they want to try for a physical cache then they have the option to enter a code word which gives them a message. Might be partial coordinates or some instructions.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I set some virtuals (I thought) to publish next weekend but I see they are showing up on the dashboard. Did I do something wrong with them and if so what?

Re: Feature query
If it is possible I would like to try and hide a couple of these and see how they go. Maybe entering a codeword to give you partial coordinates.

Re: Summarise Geocaching in 2 paragraphs
geocaching is a world-wide scavenger hunt using GPS technology. The hobby is great for people of all ages (including little kids) and abilities (even for people with disabilities). There are caches hidden all over the world in cities and forests and everything in between. Cachers can play the game u...

Re: Feature query
I don't know - does anyone think it would be worth it? Because some will find it difficult to upload a pic if they are travelling it may not be worth pursuing.
But then there are a number of people who do regularly do GCA caches in Bendigo and would probably be prepared to try it.

Feature query
Messers ratsatwork Is it possible for me to create a virtual and when someone uploads a pic (Or maybe enters a codeword)they get an automatic response such as partial coords? Then once they have logged 3 separate but related virtuals they have the option for a physical cache. I know I can do it as a...

Re: Swaggies are going to be removed from Geocaching Australia
Oh poo - Mr Morris made me a mini trig point which I made into a swaggie and we "visit" into any trigs that we log. I know there was an Alice the Camel one too who visited the Burke and Will caches. I copied the TB code as the password so it can be logged on either site using the same number. Beyond...

I'm not quite clear - will the page you go to show the description or will you have to click something else to see it?

Re: Event Ideas
There are lots of different ways to run an event - I would suggest have a look at your local (geocaching) community and see what the demographic is. If there are lots of young families a lunchtime barbecue at a park with a playground is probably the best option. You can set up meet and greet games o...

GCA Puzzle Caches
Be patient with me programming savvy people One of the top 5 things to look for in a puzzle cache on the other site is things written in the source code. So you look under usersupplied content for anything that might be/become a set of coordinates. Is there a similar phrase I should look for in a GC...
