Re: Geocache Navigator bug
Info for anyone out there googling for this bug, the problem is not specifically with the DMM notation in the software, but the way they have designed the UI when entering the information. It wont take leading zeros in the decmial part of the coordinate. So if you need to enter 21.020 as the minutes...

New Software - UTM Data
Hi, I just wanted to share some nice new software for you Nokia 50 Series mobile that may get you out of a stick situation in the field. I do all my geocaching with a Nokia E71 (135 finds), but unfortunately the latest version currenty has a bug in the manual waypoint entry that means that unless yo...

Geocache Navigator bug
Anyone out there running Geocache Navigator on a Nokia? I have recently upgraded from the "free" version (now no longer free) to the pay version (2.1.16) and have been pretty happy with it and with the new feature of being able to save search results for offline use, but have recently come across a ...

Re: Convert Aus Geo '66 co-ords to WGS-84
I've removed the final co-ords from this thread. PLEASE keep in mind that posting the final location of puzzle caches is not kosher. Sorry about that. Should have asked for a PM if someone could help. I WAS careful not to post the name of the cache, but it would have been obvious had someone starte...

Re: Convert Aus Geo '66 co-ords to WGS-84
Thanks for that. I eventually found a program called mapgrids that will do it, but only in DMS and decimal degrees. Far too many conversions for me to trust what was going on. Especially away from my home turf.Big Matt and Shell wrote:According to the Oregon,

Convert Aus Geo '66 co-ords to WGS-84
Hi, I have the co-ord for the GZ of a puzzle that are in Aus Geo 66 and I have no way to convert them to WGS-84 since I use my mobile phone as my GPS. Found some shareware programs on the web, but nothing simple or free. Can anyone out there with a "real" GPS convert these co-ords for me please? [Pu...

Re: Unethical hiding places
I have been having huge internal ethical debates about this one lately. I am closing in on 100 finds and am keen to place some of my own caches, but I keep second guessing myself on evey good idea that I have. One is for a multi where the first WP is up a tree. Quite a challenging climb, but doable ...
