Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

One of the SamWalkers entries for the race. This is a self-logging cache and once found will need almost continuous feeding until the next finder arrives. This should ensure rapid transfers from one cacher to the next. After the event we would be keen to recover the container. http://geocaching.com....

I started circular, then made front and back, leaving holes for ears, then a round bit again. It wouldn't go over his ears, so I'm having another go. Wendy How about if you start circular then knit the front and back really l o n g. Then you can hem it up as you fit it. Whatever is left over roll i...

I am completerly flummoxed here - I wish I had thought of this BEFORE I attached the ears to the bunny! :-(

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

Well, I foamed my gnomes too. I half filled the gnome with foam and set aside to dry (standing on its head). By the next day the foam had spilled UP AND OUT of the hole in the bottom and made a BIIIIIG balloon of foam. It expands A LOT! Quick hint. If you 1/3 fill the container then tape up the hol...

I feel that we have established cache size is the internal volume of the cache and we don't want to re-muddy that water. So - here is a suggested option that cachers could choose to include on their cache page... micro gnome, heaven help us.... small gnome, regular gnome, Bunnings special, large gn...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

It's surprising how big a gnome can be and you can still only fit a micro sized container inside  I have a redular size and a small size gnome but a BIG can of foam filler. I'm thinking now that I ought to go out and buy another dozen gnomes so I don't waste all that foam filler since it's on...
