Although it looks like the back-end is probably IMS, the front end is not, so sorry it won't work with MapRequest.

Well the nice thing about MapRequest is that it saves the calibrated map for you. You can make one big map fairly easily (up to about 8 megapixels), but making 700 maps would be a bit fiddly.

We found superglue to be totally useless, but eventually got somewhere with Araldite. It is not brilliant, but much better than superglue.

For the record, AFAIK these were not done with MapRequest. It would be rather timeconsuming to make a large number of maps this way.

I suspected out-of-date Bogon filters for 59.0.0.0/8 IP addresses (so blocking anyone using Internode ADSL among others). Whatever the problem was, it is fixed now.

Otherwise, let us know the specifics of the error you got. I was mistaken - the name does resolve (70.85.78.164), but I can't reach it. (e.g. HTTP and ping no good.) This is the only site (that I know of) for which I have this problem. Who looks after this site? ideology? I have a suspicion as to w...

MapRequest 1.0 released

MapRequest 1.0 has now been released. Thanks to all the people who helped test the beta versions. MapRequest is a program that can download maps from compatible map web sites, and then save a calibrated map on your PC for use with Ozi Explorer. Re: Where can I get a data cable for Etrex inexpensive

fhlai wrote:Can anyone tell me where I can buy a data cable for etrex with reasonable price.
From Hong Kong, maybe try http://www.pc-mobile.net/gedc.htm (prices are in $US). Note that you need 2 components for their cables: The end that connects to the etrex, and the end that connects to your PC or PDA.

I have found that the download does not start automatically in IE if it is a .exe file (this is a security setting). If clicking the link under "If the download does not start automatically..." does not work, try a different mirror. I have found that sometimes your closest mirror is not always worki...

Tried with the Nasa On Earth server and the waypoints appear about 5km north of where they are. This is over Adelaide. I did notice this for Canberra. At first I thought their calibration might be a bit out, but I might have a fiddle with it to see if they are using a slightly different datum/proje...

I had a look at that. It looks like they have changed something on their site. I'll have a fiddle with it, but in the mean time I think they use the NSW Lands Department topo maps as a base, so you might want to use that.
