Re: Unfortunate first geocaching experience
Been in a few spots like that. I polity ask them if it is a private road or a public road. I then offer them the number to call the police, advise the person I will be around for another 5 minutes and happy to explain my actions to the police, if they want to call the police they best hurry up.

Re: print barcode
Never mind. Ended up writing a php script to generate as many barcodes I need just by giving it a list of GCA number. Puts them all on one page for printing.

Is there an easy way to print a barcode for a cache with the GCA code on the same printed image ? Currently I go to the cache page, right click the image, view image, copy image, paste into image program, copy GCA code, paste into text field in image.. then print.. Re: MySQL gods... Purple Dreamer caches.
How about a search by the name in the open text owner field ? I see it has either been left intact or appended to like "purpledreamer (adopted by XXXX)"
A list of GC codes of all ones matching "%purpledreamer%" in the open text owner field will do. I will then sort the rest..

MySQL gods... Purple Dreamer caches.
Could I request a GC code list off all the geocachers ever owned by Purple Dreamer ? A majority of them have be adopted out now and making a list is a little tricky. If you have an easy way to query that a list would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Memorial site - accessing TB locations through GC API ?
does anyone technical out there know if it's possible to access TB location information through the API - I presume through web services ? The API has a function to read a track-able travel list. You would either need to read the list on a regular basis for each TB or else use the watch list featur...

Some server problems they have been having are being addressed early this week. This might fix the problem. Fingers crossed.
