Re: Future Games
Most of us really like the idea of a prize, even if it's a participation prize. After all, we are essentially treasure hunters. :-) Fund raising ideas for pathtags 1. Entry fee for participation in games? Enough to cover pathtags plus a bit for the coffers. 2. Competition to design pathtag, with ent...

Re: Future Games
Re: Dragonzone being divisive. Dragonzone pits one group against another, dividing them. Cerberus against Minotaur, for example. I can't comfortably go on a day out caching with other cachers unless they are in my colour group. Not that I cache in groups much, but lots of people do. I believe the wh...

Re: Looking for people to help create an Australia wide series
I am always keen to help GA, and I like placing larger containers. I would enjoy placing a few caches with a theme or whatever you have in mind. I can travel a fair distance for placing and maintenance, say 150km around Canberra, without too much stress. However, I think dragonzone is more divisive ...

Re: (dragonZone) Moveables being scored for each find by the same geocacher
I don't understand dragonzone, either, I'm afraid. Someone taught me how to allocate points, so I just give maximum points possible to everything I find. That's why I don't care whether or not movables have points allocated every time they're found.

Re: How many is too many?
I agree that if people want a say, they should log in to the forum. It isn't difficult, and we can't expect the administrators to go to multiple social fora and gather the data from them and figure out who is posting on on more than one, and who isn't, an what the total is, etc. The forum has always...

Re: (dragonZone) Moveables being scored for each find by the same geocacher
I think they move in packs because it's easy. One hiding spot (or hand on to another person), rather than finding 15 new hiding spots. It could be the points for other cachers, of course... However, it's a bit like 'shooting fish in a barrel' to pick up a movable, and find it has a pack of cards in ...

Re: How many is too many?
How about sub-categories? Locationless (jigsaw), Locationless (mental puzzle), Locationless (go out and find something specific outside), etc. Would that make people happy? Then it would be easy to only search for the sort of locationless you want to find (assuming, of course, that the magic elves i...

No_Tomorrow: I didn't realise that they are divided into males and females. I just thought they had different eyes and faces and bows and things so that they don't all look the same. Not that that works for me...

Re: New Moveable's starting in SA
Thanks, Laura! We appreciate your efforts! We put out a large series of Bushranger caches - all GA - with mixed responses. Those who've found them are very kind. We hope to be in Adelaide next week, and will try to find time to discover a few of your caches. We are also bringing some with us - not o...

Christmas hats - lovely surprise!
Thanks to whoever was responsible for making all the caching icons on the map sprout bright red Christmas hats! =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/ :D :D I opened the map page this morning, and had a delightful surprise - it made me smile. Now, can you make one of them deliver presents to me, even if I was naughty??!...
