Re: What's new on Geocaching Australia
Ok, we have new powers which look interesting, but I want to allocate my usual points of 35 to a cache and now can't find the allocate button. Help On your My/dragonzone page is a new tab called "Deploy". The first choice on the drop-down tab is "Points". This is where you now deploy regular dZ poi...

Re: Report Site Issues Here
tbh asked me why she could no longer directly link from the publish emails to the cache page so I had a look and found that unlike the watchlist mails sometime after 15th March the GCA Geocache Alert emails for moves and publishes seem to have lost the full URL links to both the cache page and goog...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches
It's a nice theory. I actually went through a query doing just that the other day. Anything that had a green tick probably isn't there, and anything with a blue arrow probably is. Getting every geocacher to write a minimum of two logs every time they log a moving cache but leave it in place is the p...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches
The simplest way for everyone to know where a moveable is....is to make it MANDATORY to put in a moved log...WHETHER the cache has been moved or not....THEN when we see a blue tick we know its actually in play. Are you suggesting that someone who finds a moving cache, but leaves it in place, should...

Re: cache idea..
It sounds like a good candidate to be listed as a Gadget cache to me: https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Gadget_cache It would be up to you where you hide the tool. If it was me, I'd hide it a short distance away, say up to 50 metres away, as people will have to return the tool after logging. You c...

A designated area on which sports are played, not necessarily Association Football. Within the distance specified by the challenge.
Obscure sports, such as Dwarf-tossing for instance, may need to be reviewed differently.

Re: Geosportz 2018
Hello, Enjoying the games, thanks to all the organisers. Just wondering what the definition of “bicycle” is? Does a scooter count? A bicycle, also called a cycle or bike, is a human-powered, pedal-driven, single-track vehicle, having two wheels attached to a frame, one behind the other. What's your...

Re: Geosportz 2018
What justification needs to be cited for challenge 8, Diving? Just mention why you believe the cache meets the challenge requirements. GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife) is a good place to check elevations, but if you don't use that tool, this website is handy for checking elevations: https://www.f...

Re: Geosportz 2018
Archery- Does the bow and arrow need to be real or can we be creative??? Be creative. As long as there's something at GZ that represents an Arch, or a Bow, or an Arrow, just photograph it and upload it to either your found log, or your published cache's gallery. If it doesn't meet the requirement, ...

Re: Geosportz 2018
Only the cache that you enter into the "Cache ID" box is considered used. The other two caches that you mention in your justification can be used for other claims. Really????? I'm going to guess the same goes for the series of 10 then. Ah well. Too late. Just wondering, does someone read all the cl...
