Re: Report Site Issues Here

Thanks - I thought I was exporting 1.0 but will check next time to make sure I haven't accidentally ticked the wrong box. Things usually work :(

Re: Report Site Issues Here

Interesting, if I look at my GPX file I uploaded (generated from GSAK as version 1.0) for that cache it shows me <type>Geocache|Lost and Found Event Caches</type> <groundspeak:type>Lost and Found Event Caches</groundspeak:type> The first few lines showing the version are <?xml version="1.0" encoding...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

I was doing my weekly import of NSW logs to help keep things up to date and got this error message:

Unknown cache type, set to Traditional: GC8HJC6 'Lost and Found Event Caches'. Please advise a site administrator.

It was a Community Celebration event, so maybe it is a cache type we don't recognise?

Re: 2020 Game of Games

Hmmm, not good. I would probably mention it to DFAT as well.

Similarly a few years ago I had an expensive camera lens being delivered to work that was supposed to be signed for. I found it in the open letterbox at the front of the driveway.

Re: 2020 Game of Games

I haven't had too many delays on domestic things, 2 days from Adelaide to Sydney last week for a small-medium box. Though I am still waiting for something small I ordered from China off eBay in late March to show up. Then again in the past I have had letters regularly take over a week to get to me f...

Got my badge today as well, thanks. Being about 20km north of tronador and further from Melbourne it must take longer :P

Re: Queries by "Sort by Closest to"

OK, that's a bit strange. When I ran it the other night I was getting things at all sorts of distances, but now it seems to be working. That's a mystery then. I had tried reducing it to as low as 70km and was still getting >500 results. Computers are so much fun!

Queries by "Sort by Closest to"

I just tried updating a query, to give me caches in an area I will be visiting next week. There is a trig I want to target a bit south of where I will be staying for the start letter, but setting the trigpoint as the centre of the search area didn't work. I set Sort by Closest to on the query as TP7...

Re: My GCA emails are going to junk mail

It's not too hard, if you create a gmail account (I have a throwaway one for things I need to confirm that might spam me) you can set it up to forward emails to another address. Click on the settings wheel on the top right, and then there is an option for Forwarding, which you can put the email you ...

Re: Daily Notifications

If you go to the Menu then My Cacher Space, under Geocaching Alerts you can add a tick to be notified about locationless ones. Just set a radius of 0 as for me they are 15,222 or so km away. For the normal types I have just generally set a radius of 30km from my home location. You will then get an e...

Re: Report Site Issues Here

Thanks, I noticed that before I had tried my 3rd and successful time the CO had also made a tweak of some sort.

Re: Report Site Issues Here

Ahh, I had tried it in all caps as displayed, or with the first letter capitalised and the rest lower case. It worked with it all in lower case. A trap for the unwary. Have edited my log to provide it as a pointer for others. Thanks.

Re: Report Site Issues Here

Did you have to generate a codeword? I tried the one Jigidi had given me but that didn't work.

Re: Report Site Issues Here

I am trying to do one of the Locationless jigsaw puzzles (GA14609) and to log it I need to enter a codeword. But when I click on the button to get the codeword (presumably I tell it what the word was the jigidi thing gave me when I completed it) I get the message This geocache is not a type that may...
