Best Maps For Ozi Explorer - Victoria

We are very much settling in to Geocaching, just a few days short of 1 year, but we are in need of some decent maps to use in Ozi Explorer. Just after some good maps, with road names, etc so we can get to and plan our caching trips a lot better. Any help appreciated From what I have seen, the VicRoa...

Don't see that as an issue from my perspective, but I use an iPod with all of the cache details in it, so I don't worry about the hints on the GPSr.

I would say that is a common Magellan limit, rather than being a bug. This one only really brings it into line with the other Firmware updates that had already been released. Perhaps the next round of updates will address some of the issues, such as only 200 POI per file (no difference with POI's AF...

I would say yes, especially when it is required to complete one, as is the case with the Toorak Wifi one...

Paperless caching can be on a PDA, or an iPod, so Wifi isn't necessarily something that the average cacher has. They will have the GPSr and more likely than not paper...

Perhaps even cough up for a linksys, as their firmware is GPL, which means there are plenty of free third party firmwares for them. ADSL 2 routers should be able to handle ADSL speeds (up to 8Mbps - approx 950 KBps) without fail, and with the freedom to move up to 24Mbps (Close to 3 MBps) if you liv...

Make sure to do a refresh of the page, usually a Ctrl-F5 will force it to upload from the site again.

Going via nextdestination.com.au the Magellan site is up and running

I agree with you bear_left, as it's a catch-22 to try and get places that are worthy of a cache where the population is sparse, and you rarely visit. Bendigo is smothered with caches, and hopefully Ballarat will catch up soon!! (We have a couple planned in the near future) Perhaps it is also a need ...

Looks good, but not totally sure M S will ever feel the pinch for the foreseeable future. It will take quite a large shift for that to happen. Considering everyone seems to think Firefox is big, it still is only about 10% of traffic that uses it..... Just gotta find me a way to install it on NTFS (w...

I have recently purchased one of those 20gb JVC HDD doovers a. The software that came with it is atrocious and I've been trying to hunt down a decent editor...(one this is certain, Linux hasn't got a lot of good editors capable of titling etc  ) This thread has been of great use! I am about to...

OT: Power Outages In Victoria

Looks like the fires have made their effect on the Victorian and some of the SA power grid. The power interconnector at Tatong in NE Vic turned off sometime today, approx 4 PM. This provided power from the NSW power gird to power Victoria when it needed extra power. What happened next was automatic ...

I have seen the photo mismatches near here in Ballarat, they except ours over here of more that there is a duplicate in a small area rather than missing pieces altogether....

Consider there is a manual part to this process....

It depends on the cache. You can use this one here, make sure to click on the Waypoint name. A simple way to know is the a waypoint starting with GC is on geocaching.com and the GA ones are here.

If you notice the actions on the right, only GCA ones will allow you to log it...
