Re: FTF acknowledgements in listings
I've only happened on to this thread and not the earlier discussion elsewhere, but there was comment about the seemingly peculiar practice of listing the contents of the cache on the cache page. (Which becomes out of date after a few finds of course). I assumed that this occurred because on the GC s...

Re: Tasmania for 5 days
If you only have 5 days in Tassie I'd just go up the east coast and not try to go over to Cradle - otherwise you'll just be driving and not have time to just be in any of the places. (Even though Cradle Mountain is great - I think there's no point in going there if you can't stay and enjoy it for a ...

Re: Security Scare. I guess it had to happen.
Slightly off topic, but in relation to that post and the harmless white powder...what I want to know is, who posts ash? You'd hardly send your loved one's remains via Australia Post? And when we clean out the fireplace, we just put it in the garden...

Re: Caching Holiday in Tasmania- suggestions on caches to get?
Sounds like you'll be driving down the Midlands Highway at some point. There's always the Campbell Town Convict Brick Trail GC1FFGW and This is Art GA1818 in Campbelltown. Continuing on, there are lots of drivebies but Childhood Memories GC10816 is fun (takes 1/2 hour or so) you see some of the topi...

Re: Geocaching - Sport or Hobby?
Feels like a hobby to me, even in a race to a FTF. That's just being competetive. You can be competitive in a Readathon, doesn't mean it's a sport?????????????

Hi I was with friends some time ago and they had bought a new GPS. We headed off out, and I think for all of that day their GPS was one or two hundred metres out, which made it useless in trying to find a cache. We were all ready to complain etc but then the next day it was fine - and has been ever ...
