Re: Recording final co-ords for multis to use on maps
Hi. Is there any functionality to record the final location of multis and mysterys and the like. The reason for asking is so that when viewing Google Maps, I could use it to see where the final location is along with the existing traditional and virtuals in the area for when I am planning a caching...

Ah, the memories.
It was pre-caching though, 1991 I think.

Re: Caches to Nuvi 1450
Hi. When the nuvi is pressed into action, I set GSAK's GPS>Setup to the Make and Model (Garmin. nuvi 1450 (1450T ?).), and change the (GPS>Send Waypoints...) Waypoint Name field (from " %code ") to something like " %code,%smart " without the quotes, and leave the Waypoint Description field at " %Nam...

Re: Helpful Hints for Newcomers
Hi bazkaz. :) There's no need to use bad language on a public forum. Thanks for reporting your find. It may be easier to re-place the box, exactly where and how you found it. Are there identifying features on or in the box like documentation of any kind, numbers (EG: GA1234) or coordinates (EG: S22 ...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
Location: Victoria, Australia day1976 found Unexpected (Traditional Cache) at 4/30/2012 Log Date: 4/30/2012 After reding the previous logs I was prepared to be looking for a non-traditional cache. Once arriving at GZ I began looking for things that looked just a bit out of the ordinary. The only th...

Hi. Have you tried contacting Garmin? Could 'something' be running in the background.

Re: Groundspeak "listing-service exclusivity on Mega-Events"
I like the not-for-profit nature of GCA. By necessity it's also not-for-loss. Send Groundspeak an invoice for all costs of Mega™ promotions on this site. There may be a lose lose result (for caching), but I reckon grey areas would become clear fairly quickly. :| Pick one "Yeah sure here's the couple...

The nuvi 1450T would be worth considering.
They were "Half price" at DSE a couple of weeks ago. That low a price doesn't do smaller specialist retailers any favours, but at $149 ...

Re: Downloading cache info onto a Garmin GPS60
Thanks for that. The download was from this site. The url is http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga4281 . I clicked "send to GPS". A little window opened. A message identified that my GPS was found, so I clicked "write". A message appeared saying the information had been transferred BUT it does not appe...

Re: Downloading cache info onto a Garmin GPS60
Interesting. Try a few different caches using the same process each time.
Faeries? The same thing happens on my GPSmap60 with cache GA4281 (all looks good but the cache doesn't show up on the GPSr).

Re: Downloading cache info onto a Garmin GPS60
Hi. Did you download a file (of geocaches) to your computer, or to the GPSr? Don't know much about Macs but it may help if you describe what and how you downloaded, and from which web page/address etc. If the geocache file/s has transferred *to the GPS60* OK you should find Geocaches listed at Find>...

Re: Nuvi 765 Operating System reqd for an idiot.
Hi. Have you tried to run Garmin's WebUpdater to update/rectify the issue? Connect the nuvi to PC and run the program. If you don't have WebUpdater already, it can be downloaded from garmin website. GSAK shouldn't corrupt any nuvi files but there may be a corrupted file in the upload?? I'd remove yo...
