Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

My brother was right, his Bunnings is gnomeless!

I have a cache to hunt tomorrow, so I'll try then. Bah. I bet you anything there'll be a million gnomes in the shops come December [-(

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

You know, my brother works at Bunnings and I said to him the other day "Do you guys have gnomes?" and he said "Dunno". I will poke him with a fork! To be fair though, he's in the landscaping section and probably wouldn't ALLOW a gnome to be placed in his area lol As for sturdying them up some, what ...

Re: Cheap custom stamps - $4 shipped

Where I used to work we had non refillable stamps. You can refill them with bottled stamp pad ink and a syringe, if you're cheap (it was a library, we were cheap).

Re: When is a cache "buried"

I can agree with "bloody cachers making bloody tracks" being misguided or outright wrong - If you wander my paddock you will find dozens of animal tracks, so in my opinion (valid or invalid as it may be, you be the judge!) cacher tracks seem to generally follow the path of least resistance - no one ...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

I pondered the same ones blossom*, then decided $14.95 was probably too much to spend on something so tempting to muggles.

Big gnome hunt today only turned up pantsless gnomes (no one needs to see that) and a gnome so fragile I thought I'd break it while picking it up. #-o Even Savers let me down!

Re: When is a cache "buried"

Perhaps "moving soil to find cache" needs to be distinct from "moving leaves to find cache". Don't get me wrong, I'd hate for everyone to be out in the wilderness with shovels hiding or hunting caches, and I think the spirit of the guidelines should be upheld - if only to prevent the idea that cache...

Re: When is a cache "buried"

Grey areas grey areas. I'd rather not see digging in national parks etc, but at the same time, does it really matter in a playground? Too hard to get my noggin around on that one. I think if digging is required to FIND the cache, that'd be one to report. Lifting a cache out of a hole with no digging...

Seconded, for some reason the yellow ones really steal the show. The orange ones are less shouty.
