Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.

I'm confused which is probably not hard at this hour. But if we camp free for two nights and then move how much do the other nights cost? Seems to be a hidden cost somewhere? We missed the first mega and this progressive idea doesn't float my boat. We've done a lot of touring all over Tas on motorbi...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

It's to stop two people grabbing the cache, driving from one major city to the other and "dropping" it along the way. Genuine moves and finds are generally OK, but I'm not going to police it too much. Egregious rules breaking will DQ the gnome. It's all a game and it's supposed to be fun, so enjoy....

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

so what do the game admins do when this rule is not followed? Now we are all friendly, law abiding gnome movers, knowingly breaking the rules would be against the spirit of the race. :D :? hope you didn't think that was what I was planning. Just noticed a couple of planned gnomes had been gnabbed, ...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

HI I have a day off between being nice to harrassed/rude/over shopped christmas folk. I am trying to restore my niceoseness to yukky people by going gnoming :) But I need a rule clarification please. There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are ...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

Does anyone else seem to spend most of their time planning which gnomes to gnap next, where to drop them, checking who's last found them and guessing where they'll be dropped, working out if you can pick them up based on how many logs since your last, negotiating intertstate travel plans and planni...

Re: Tasmania for 5 days

Wildlife parks? Bonorong gets our vote. When do you arrive in Hobart? Time for a dinner or drink when you arrive? 5 days is not long to see Tassie. Day 1 in Hobart, then day 2 head to Bonorong, on to Richmond, down to Port Arthur. Stay overnight. Morning to catch up on the rest of the scenery, Doo T...

Re: iPhone Apps

Hi

only allows search of gc.com. Can get pocket queries from gc.com but still no gca caches.

I'm guessing that gsak will give you what you need, and load it via a datafile?

Oregon Broken Screen

Yes it is a sad story, but has a happy ending. I pulled my Oregon out to go caching and tradgedy, the screen was smashed. Looked like an impact, suffice to say, I hadn't dropped it, so I can only conclude it was MIB or Faeries At The Bottom Of My Garden (and if I was clever I could hyper link to the...

Re: iPhone Apps

Thanks. I'm having a bit of dejavu remembering when we first started caching with the navtoy and just using the lats and longs, then being shown the light by The Energisers and Horus with all sorts of wonderful tools and toys. Hoping to have a shorter learning curve with this new gadget. I have been...

iPhone Apps

Hi

I'm shop sitting, have super fast broad band, no annoying customers and a new iPhone (to replace a stolen NavToy).

What gets the vote for Twitter and Caching? And where to I get them? Choice overload is what I have found, so I'm playing in the new forums and looking for help.

Cheers Quilter
