Trigs Trigs Trigs Everywhere!
Definitely a Trig station, if your check most of the Trig station (not all) with the black (usually) target on a single mast are removable, you will find they are held by 3 bolts over the triangular theodolite, laser ranger mount. In some cases the mast and target have disapeared, but the concrete ...

GCA New Cache Icons -- Vote Change!
The other problem with this poll is that two of the three options effectively add to the same answer... biasing the poll automatically towards one option. Re-worded to be more of an "abstain" option... and people have the ability to alter their vote if they have been swung by the discussion / thoug...

Re: Co-ordinates Box on Google Map -- Thanks!
Have you ever been using the GCA Google Map and wanted to know the co-ordinates for where your pointer was sitting? Well, now you can. http://geocaching.com.au/caches/gca/au/tas.gmap Look to the bottom right, you will see a new box with the co-ordinates of where your mouse pointer is sitting on the...

Re: Geocachers Anonymous (Cachers By Days Cached)
Yes, I just discovered this particular stat online and it gave me a shock when I first saw the list that included GC as well as well as GCA (All Sources)! At first I couldn't even find my name on the list . . . Please let me know what you decide to do.

Possible False Geocache Loggings
Although I'm too old (actually much, much too old) to be naive about such things, I confess that I'd never really considered the possibility that any geocacher would simply log a cache online without actually visiting it on the ground. But of course, in any sport or hobby -- or anywhere in life, rea...

Buried Geocaches
I've had similar questions when piles of 'natural camo' -- placed either by the CO or later finders -- become excessive. How far can this 'scattering of debris' on top of a cache go before you're effectively burying it?

Cache Log Verbosity Feedback
Great idea for a discussion!
Average of 188 words per log
Longest log of 723 words on Traditional K9-Capers by GO Team K.
Shortest log of 18 words on Traditional SCOTTISH ROCK by banksia777
(I did once split a 1300 word log -- for 'One in a Hundred' -- into two parts . . .)
Nuff said.

Caching Team Discussions
This has been a very interesting discussion thread! I only just read it this morning and was pleased to hear how the various 'teams' do their caching. I cache alone more than 95 per cent of the time, but once in a while Mrs. pjmpjm accompanies me on Blue Mountains adventures, especially when there's...

Re: Anyone out there have dual nationality?
Hi Fellow Geocacher Am in the same situation as you, an American by birth, and finally took up my Australian citizenship only in 1988 after living in this county for many years and having my son and grandchildren born here. My wife is in the same situation. Our son, while born in Australia, is eligi...
