Re: CCCC: Cache Construction Centre of Competence

I bought a thick UV pen which works pretty well although it's not very weatherproof. It might work well if it was protected or if you could write on the inside of the window.
It's not going to the job I was wanted. You can borrow it if you want to give out a go.

Re: Not logging DNFs

I try to log all dnfs. There's the odd occasion when I don't but they're few and far between. I assume that any cache I dnf is still there and it's just that I can't find it.
I've got 316 dnfs and 2377 finds so 13%.

I'm holding my breath
While I keep hitting refresh.
But there's no more details
On what the competition entails.
Just more and more teasing
On what could be the meaning

Re: Power options

OK, I'll start the ball rolling with an issue I've been fiddling with for a while - That of how you might keep electrical power running to a cache. I've got a design in mind that will need electricity to keep going. Not a heap, but enough to power a clock and an electronic lock. Obviously a solar p...

Re: Cerberus Clan Chat

I always struggle with this question myself and whatever I choose to do seems to get undone shortly after by other clans. The other issue you have with Race Bingo is that it's the only cache controlling Rockdale so if you move it to another zone you'll just be swapping which zone it controls but tha...

Re: Summarise Geocaching in 2 paragraphs

I always liked "scavenger hunt" instead of "treasure hunt" to avoid the expectation of finding something valuable but this is good.

I had this a few weeks ago and I uninstalled and reinstalled to fix the issue.

Re: RSS feeds, a time to die.

30 of this calls are mine as I update my RSS reader daily. It's convenient for me but not a big deal as I still check the forums on the website, just not as often.

Re: Purge of missing movable caches

It's not too hard to scan through your logs and look for moveables

You're looking for an Angel :weepingangel and a car.

Re: Purge of missing movable caches

When I found the witch at the end of last year she had spent almost 2 years under a bush with no ill effects. I wouldn't worry too much about finding a dry spot.

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

I found a handful of moveables last week and noticed they had double points allocated by the previous finder. Is this part of the system glitch from last week or is it something I can get in on.

You might want to check the race rules first.

All the ones I've seen prohibit posting of TBs.

Re: Winter is Coming

When do the points come thru for challenges such as the unloved ones? I've logged several greater than 2 years over the past 2 days but the 60pts hasn't filtered thru? :minotaur You've got to log http://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA2698 to get the points. Yes, done that already (mine are the last 3 lo...
