I can only reflect on the 4700 - which I have and will obviously recommend :D The screen quality and detail is GREAT. HP tends to bit a bit pricey, but this is my second iPAQ and I can't fault the brand.
The touchpad takes a little getting used to, but it is a great way to quickly check appointme...

appears to work OK at higher level, but is sporadic at a more detailed level.
Eg: search for 2900 (Tuggeranong) returns caches in the area across several suburbs, but search for 2906 (specific suburbs of Gordon/Conder) returns "invalid search" message - I assume this is when there are no entries....

pie chart looks great - thanks CAW

 one suggestion - can you sort the data in descending order prior to plotting the chart? this would order the pie slices and presumably the legend

I currently use an iPAQ 4700 ppc with CF GPS card (which goes into bluetooth slipper when in the car). I discovered geocaching after I had the hardware listed (up to that point used mainly for personal info manager functions, synching calendar/contacts/tasks etc, downloading and emailing images from...

Re: trig points

we've got trig points loaded into the database now (thanks, riblit!) they aren't loggable yet, but if you want to see them, we've set up a google network link at http://geocaching.com.au/points/trigs.kml (you'll need to set it up so it updates when the camera stops) fyi we are also playing around w...

As you can see from screenshot, after saving a tracklog today, it appears not to be a simple alignment/datum/projection issue: http://gallery.geocaching.com.au/albums ... een001.png

The error appears to be variable - pity it was a good looking, if not accurate base map :(

thanks for suggestions - I have managed to download GPX files by file...get data via email... and entering settings and manually clicking on getmail button.

I have found macros option (including run at start-up) - any chance of posting a working macro script to automate the GPX import on start-up?
