I've had a puzzle cache found by someone who just went to the gorge where the cache was hidden and started looking! Found it in the third place he looked apparently, remarkable!
Use any means necessary, just don't spoil it for others, or yourself.

And thanks i! for the years of paying for this site and forum out of your own pocket, incredibly generous considering you are no longer able to participate in the activity. My limited understanding of restoring a backup is that it would then wipe out anything that has happened since the backup, so w...

The First Day Finds are not strictly hotlists as they...

This could open up a can of logging worms. 1) hide cache, let it be logged. move cache and new contents, let same hider log it again, and again, and again. Nothing wrong with moveable caches ;) Is that really worse than 1)Hide cache, let it be logged. 2)Archive cache and relist it, let same hider l...

Reasons I know of are: * To prevent their caches being targeted and vandalised. * To prevent new cachers from attempting a dangerous cache. * To reward those who 'support the game' through paid membership. Only the first reason is close to being a good one. And that was from someone who had quite a ...

I'd say Penrith's close enough to the Hawksberry to call it "near" without having to move it. Half the town is built on the riverbanks. Except most people associate the hawksberry river with the Brooklyn/southern central coast area , and a train station named Hawkesbury River, not western Sydney. G...

That can be done with a Greasemonkey script if you're using Firefox, so you could have the list of "Recent Posts" but filter out posts in State Forums, Buy and Sell Forums etc. Is that what you had in mind, or are you talking about hiding certain posts within a thread?!
