If anyone is at the serious end of buying one of these there is one on eBay now for $660 - 0 bids, 7 hours left. Speaking of which, there seem to be some good bargains for Explorist XLs on eBay, but they come from the US, or sometimes Europe (though the European ones seem to be more expensive). How...

G'day All,
I'd like to thank you all for your good wishes, thoughts, and prayers. I'm overwhelmed by your response.
One of the many things I like about geocaching is the people who participate. I have met a fair number of you in my travels, but often only by telephone or email. I've yet to '...

dak, thanks for the pm, but can you please confirm whether or not you can see the [edit] link next to the duplicate logs?
*>BLUSH<*
Sorry. I misunderstood. I have now deleted the erroneous logs, and my stats are only incorrect by one. I will look into that. I found one yesterday wher...

G'day George (and George),
Thanks for your help with this. I have looked at the list of duplicates. Most of them are erroneous logs; a few of them are instances of logging to trig points on The 2 Dogs' trig point cache. Your reason number 2 is spot on. The duplicates resulted from my dele...

G'day,
Caughtatwork told me about the new import log wizard, so I dropped in to update my stats, so that the graphs on his web site would be more accurate.
I generated a GPX file from GSAK, using %code as the waypoint name. I set the number of logs to zero, and ticked the 'my logs' box.
...

I give up
Don't give up. At the time of writing this, 51% say create the new area.
Creating the new area doesn't change or restrict the existing area at all. It would just mean that those who are only interested in geocaching chit chat will have somewhere to go. Those who want to read the "...

I like it! I like it!
What I want to know is: how the heck does one discover this sort of thing?
Did you stumble upon it by accident, or should all of us know about the c3po server? Or did you learn about it on the US forums?
Inadequately yours,
dak
P.S. I'll be in Brisbane in a ...

G'day,
I agree with you Rog. I would welcome a new Chit Chat area that was for Geocaching only.
The current Chit Chat area allows just about anything to be discussed. Sobeit, but I would still like to have a Chit Chat area that is for geocaching-related material only. Bring it on!
As reg...

I really don't want to set a precedent of removing things people say by accident, . . .
Why not?
If the original poster has specifically requested its removal, why would you defy him by rejecting his request? Whether a moderator should unilaterally remove a post is a whole different subject...

G'day Lt Sniper,
Have I missed something? I clicked on the link, which popped up a dialog box asking me to confirm the installation of the plugin. I clicked "OK", and the dialog box went away.
What now? I can't see any discernable difference. I'm using Firefox 1.0. I'm not using the Mozilla ...

I almost exclusively use keywords, that is, cache names. Sometimes I search on 'Placed Name', but not very often. I never use postcodes, and can't understand why it's the default search on the gc.com Advanced Search page, when it's already available on th main page.
I actually suggested on the Y...

I noticed that the Emu Mob provided a few of that last 50 or so. I'm heading to Steak and Kidney next Sunday. Perhaps I'll log some of yours too.

Now, on to 2k!
