A funny build thread.

No threat from the Koreans here, to our building standards anyhow. 35 pages long and counting, but worth the read.

Re: 24 Hour Geocaching run in SA

Makes my Qld record of, I think it was Oct 2006, of 62 finds in 24 hours pale into insignificance. At least it wasnt a powertrail.

Re: Have we hit mainstream?

I guess you would pick up on the word geocaching if you heard it on the TV, other than that - my brain tends to shut itself off when it hears the Harvey Norman announcer, the jingle, or Gerry Harvey whinging about stuff to get attention. Which is exactly what happened. I was in the kitchen, and I t...

Have we hit mainstream?

Or more likely just someone trying to make a buck off our backs. Over the last couple of days, Harvey Norman has been advertising on TV a range of various items, including GPS units. The blurb carrys on that no matter what you are into, fitness, hiking, Geo-caching they have the GPS for you. Note th...

Re: Two million caches

Nope, it looks crap. And there have already been complaints made by others about the washed out colours of the various national flags. Some saying its against some countries flag ettiquites for a flag to be shown in the wrong colour. Its a shame also that you cant hover over parts of the graphic for...

Re: Scouting Cachers

Speaking of the Meet and Greet at AJ2013, does anyone still have a TB called, How far will $100 get me? which I dropped off at AJ2013. If I remember correctly, it was a $100 note keyring. It still lists in my inventory.

Re: Any road rules experts who can clarify this?

Sorry, but not in Qld. From the Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Road Rules) Regulation 2009 Part 11 Keeping left, overtaking and other driving rules Reprint 2D effective 21 December 2012 132 Keeping to the left of the centre of a road or the dividing line (1) A driver on a two-way road wit...

Re: Any road rules experts who can clarify this?

The difference between single and double continuous centre lines is, as previously stated, a single continuous line may be crossed to enter, or exit a property. Whereas double white continuous centre lines must not be crossed FOR ANY REASON. In Qld, it even extends to painted traffic islands. Painte...

Re: How did everyone go in the floods/fires?

I cant imagine Temengi would have had any dramas, if his place goes under water, the rangers at Ayres Rock would have to be worried about their place going under. Not too sure about The Fuddleys. Not sure where in Bundy they live.

How did everyone go in the floods/fires?

So, how has everyone gone with the weather over the last couple of months, floods in Qld, and fires down south? Many caches in Bundy and the rest of Qld would have been affected, and may be some cachers as well. Personally, I think I may have lost a couple of caches around Rocky and Gladstone. 2 at ...

Re: GPS on a budget

Doesnt Anaconda have a "We will beat any price by X amount" guarantee. So if Johney Appleseed do an Etrex for $115, and Anaconda also sell the same model Etrex, then you should get it cheaper there.
