Re: 2017/2018 Summer Game
Just wanting to check: "Geocaches you claim for the game must be claimed in the game after the scavenge commences and before the scavenge concludes." Does this mean I can find 10 geocaches in one day at the start of the game, and claim them at any point throughout the game period? Or do the find dat...

Re: 2017/2018 Summer Game
I have 2 weeks compulsory leave over Christmas (though will be on call the first week in case anything needs configuring at work for a disaster) but might well consider 2-3 days in the ACT the week after New Year doing a raid which would count for extra points, especially if I can find some cheap c...

Re: 2017/2018 Summer Game
I take it there will be no Summer game? I haven't heard boo. Someone left me a few movable caches near home and I'm worried they'll be picked up this week. I was holding off finding them till a game came. If there is no Summer game I'd rather find them before they head to Alexandra with someone from...

Re: 2017/2018 Summer Game
You can pretty much count me out of any game that doesn't have either GC caches or locationless ones. And I'm done playing dZ. It's just not possible to 'play' out here on my own and I can't convince others to try out GCA let alone dZ. Well played Cerberus. I take my hat off to you all.

Re: Phones & GPS
When I started geocaching I used printouts. I didn't have a smart phone or GPS and couldn't afford either. As I discovered and did geocaching on my own, I ended up with way less finds that DNFs so gave up. When I stared back up I had and used a smart phone, and shortly after, my sister gave me her o...

You can see the other object on satellite image also. I'm guessing it's some kind of weather station.

Most likely TS7042 Three Brothers. That's the closest one to the west of your coordinates on maps.six.nsw.gov.au

I'm probably going to be that late person. I'm operating a camera at a conference meeting that night and will have to wait till its over, find a corner to hide in and jump on my mobile phone.

Re: Geocaching Australia event on the GeoGearHeads podcast
Many Aussie viewers or not, I watched the start of the one Edwin posted on the vlogging thread and Craig, with his lack of response and proud mannerisms, gave the impression that Geocaching Australia is like Loki to Thor - that brother that shouldn't exist. I think someone who actually knows what GC...
