There is a macro written by Cached that will archive all caches , if you run a filter first to find caches that have not been updated since a date of your choosing then run the archive macro it will solve your problem and if they are not archived they will simply change back next time you get a gpx...

but is there still no easy way to update my GSAK database with caches that have been archived?
