Re: Irritating cache ideas....

There used to be hundreds of such locks on the Sea Cliff bridge near Stanwell Park on the NSW Illawarra coast, one was the end cache for a multi. The PTB cut them all off, just before I was going back for a second chance to find it..

Re: Anyone ever get sacked (or nearly) for geocaching?

I know of one cacher who is a travelling salesperson, you can track their selling trails by watching their cache stats...

Then there is all those caching tradies who have extra long lunch breaks....you know who you are!

Re: Have we hit mainstream?

I saw an article on the My Sailing web site (Aus) with a full and frank run down on geocaching, and how sailors would be good at it as they use GPS for navigating.

Does this mean I'll have to line up at caches to sign a log?

Re: Your geocaching goals 2013

1/ Hide some more interesting cache containers.

2/ Hide a 5/5

3/ Find my 3,000th GC cache. (only 100 to go!)

4/ Try to keep all my hides up to date!

I found 3 caches in Kempsey while there with the SES. The Macleay never got above minor flood level.

Re: What Have You Lost/Found?

I lost my wallet at an urban cache once, and it was only after another cacher rang me to ask me where my wallet was that I realised that it was gone! In fact the cacher who rang me hadn't found it, it was another cacher who had rang him asking if they knew anyone named ******* *****. So I met up wit...

Re: Australian Power Trails

I did the Windsor to Rouse Hill PT yesterday by bike. I parked the car at RH and rode up to Windsor, and picked up the caches on the way back. Last year myself and Satanas666 found 60 caches around Bathurst to celebrate my 60th birthday, that took 14 1/2 hours, today I found 60 solo and it took 6 1/...

Re: WA cache - come in sucker

I don't have ESP, only what is written on the log page. One might assume that unlogged dnfs are similar on most caches.

Re: Geo Art?

The ones I looked at didn't require anything extra, no ALR, and no 'welcome' requirements. Most appear to be traditionals.

Re: R U OK - Depression & Geocaching.

There have been times in my life when I have felt deeply depressed, fortunately I had friends and outdoor activities that helped me out of it. Recently a friend of mine lost a close friend in an accident, and was feeling very low. We were going to go caching but I felt it might have been too insensi...
