Not cheating, being resourceful and not doing the cache in the spirit of the cache. Calling a friend to get the co-ords for GZ, now thats cheating.

If making a transfer of the TB code to another person for free it wrong what would make the transfer right ? If I had a dead TB code and no use for it I don't see what the problem would be giving it a second life. Code has been paid for to work for life so why to keep it going ? If I got the message...

Aldi sale on cliplock

Image

This looks like a good deal. 13 containers for $25. On sale 21st of this month. Would make for a nice set to start some caches with.

PDA GPS vs Garmin/Magellan ?

I use a Tytn II PDA/Phone with built in GPS. It is know for having a very accurate GPS but I still find it saying I am a meter or 2 away from GZ when I am right on top of it. Reading over some technical GPS docs I see without a ground assisted station is not very accurate. So how more accurate are t...

I see where the confusion has started richary. Tomtom (software) runs on a number of devices including Windows CE and Windows Mobile and Linux (tomtom one series) The op's first line has caused the confusion "Tomtom, or similar GPS". The op is refereeing to a Tomtom as a generic device of a "portabl...

I put OziExplorer on my PNA based GPS a while ago. Just the same menu system as the one you linked to. Makes a nice in car GPS but I don't use it for geocaching since it has such bad battery life. Tomtom 6, iG0 8 and McGuider also run on it just fine.

WM6 GPS software for geocaching...

Started of geocaching with my TytnII GPS enabled PDA phone and I have been having good success with it. Been using beeline and gpstuner for there compass/direction to cache screen and both do much the same job. The advantage of GPS tuner is it shows the location of the sun on the compass to make it ...
