Re: Ammo can thief - a geocacher?

Just yesterday we decided to archive an older cache that had an ammo can so we could use it for a new cache in a nice new location. Nup...gone    This cache was in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the bush and under a rock shelf so NOBODY would know it was there unless they ...

Re: Clan Phoenix Chat

Looking at the current pointscore, I think we need to focus on getting high-value scavenges a bit more. Rogerw3 has an average score of 4.5 per claim for his 10 scavenges so far  And some of the other high scorers are averaging 3. If we can get a 5 pointer x something also nice and high, we'll...

Re: Clan Phoenix Chat

Yep, as long as we all get our averages up, we'll win for sure! And I do like the idea of getting numbers up in other clans so they have to ensure they have no slackers either!

Re: Locationless

I love the caching games but would hope that quality hides be put out, not just because it was part of a game. Yes but to play some of these games, quite a few cachers have an extremely limit choice of GCA caches. These Locationless ones make it a lot more fun if you don't happen to live in a busy ...

Re: Winter is Coming

Just to be totally clear on the rules as I don't want to end up doing the wrong thing: It's ok to "find" (and move) a moveable several times during the game? i hope so, it's almost like another moving cache race embedded in the Winter Games :D How many others need to find a moveable inbetween my fin...

Re: Winter is Coming

Ranks are point based. So the more points you accumulate the higher your rank. A single cache find or hide can be a significant chunk of points propelling you onwards ance upwards. Today I'll add something to your dragonzone page that lets you know how far you are from the next rank. Oooh, thanks f...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

This comes from a recent cache placement in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. For a reason I can't understand the Cocos (Keeling) Islands are an Australian territory but actually have their own country code (CC). It took me a while to get my head around it. Ah! glad it gave you a bit of fun :D Maybe I s...

Re: Winter is Coming

Yes, still lots of unfound caches up your way...even after 3 or 4 visits. It will take a while, but were going to have a crack at changing the colour of most of the caches up there to match the actual name of the mountains... :cerberus :cerberus[/quote] You are welcome to try Mate, but don't...

Re: How many people still visit the forums

If I have a serious question, I come here and always get an informed answer. When I'm logging my latest GA find, I'll drop in here and see what's happening too. But gone are the days (nights) when I would sit at my computer all night "chatting" with all you dedicated cachers about anything and every...

Re: Winter is Coming

Well this worked out nicely! Just back from a lovely holiday where I hid a new cache to find I've already clocked up some points in a new game! Where can I see what caches are counted in which challenge and how many points I got for them? And maybe more importantly, where can I see where other playe...

Re: Garmin Montana Replacement Wanted

Gee, I'm really surprised that you're having such problems. We have 2 of them and they have never given a moment's problem. They are both quick, accurate and the driving directions are generally great. The only issue I would agree with is the way you are directed for miles to avoid a u-turn. I do fi...
