The info on how to use the repeaters should be interesting. I noticed the other day that ExplorOz has a list of repeater locations by State that can be downloaded as Ozi waypoints - see http://www.exploroz.com/Interact/UHFRepeatersIndex.asp . Put all the info on this thread together and we have a ve...

Same here - I just tried to download all the VIC caches and all I finished up with was blank 'Name', By, Code and Short Name columns, the Coord columns are all zeros, and the Distance and Bearing columns show 14, 497.468 and 229 respectively. Apart from those glitches, the Type, Status, Rating and D...

We've started using Ch 15 in the same way and, yes, it seems as reliable as any other. Our handhelds have limited range, but we do occasionally hear other users. No cachers have popped up yet, other than when we have been out with an organised mass assault on a cache. On those occasions, we have all...

We've had our Meridian Platinum for almost a year now and very happy with it, particularly the maps and compass. :D Bought several state map SD cards early on, but today for what we spent then we could have had all seven today. :( Probably should have bought the CDs rather than the cards, too, so we...

We use Autocache to download, Ozi as the GPSr interface and often CacheMonkey to sort the waypoints by distance, difficulty etc.

Yes, the GPS built-in map is very handy for the 'tactical phase', but before leaving home, we use a combination of the AUSLIG maps and others in Ozi, and of course Cheatisearch, plus autocache/cache monkey to sort out the waypoints into a half-way logical sequence.

Mary says you're all being rude!! :D We wait until there are at least 20 before planning another trip west... And her cache goodies bag is now considerably lighter after she made up a few new caches to place. She has just finished her five years of Uni and now is raring to go (caching that is). Ali ...

The GeoCalais has been wearing one for a few months too, although I think there are some signs of fading. Could they be made of static cling plastic like the US geocaching.com window decals? We've had one of those for a longer time and it seems to be lasting well - probably because it's on the insid...
