Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
If you take one of my gnomes with you, I'll custom make a gnome costume for you! Then you won't have any pesky questions on the plane when you carry it on and insist it has the seat next to you; obviously it is your son!

Much joy: my 'muggled' gnome isn't muggled, the finder was away for work!

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Is there a prize for first gnome muggled? I had two on my front porch as the clocked ticked over from November to December. When I left for work one was gone. . .but it's still not been logged? The other was grabbed and moved on by a cacher.

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
I was at the farmers' market on Sunday and felt like I'd done something wrong: I'd forgotten to bring a container for cannoli so grabbed a sistema from the car. It felt awful putting food into a cache! Then when it was time to clean it my husband had to ask if sistemas can be put through the dishwas...

Some newsagents have them and bead shops - or the bead section of Spotlight.

Re: Santiago, Chile & Easter island
I've cached on Easter Island. There were only 2 at the time, and unfortunately I had to log a DNF on one just because it was SO windy on the edge of Ranu Kau. I don't know that I have any advice, except maybe bone up on how to explain what you're doing in Spanish. We sort of upset our taxi driver wh...

Re: Garmin Asus10 and Asus50 Phones.
For me the A10 has been the right choice; just between you and me I have an unnatural love for it. I think my husband knows which I'd choose if it was him or the A10. But I couldn't do without my Oregon or Lumix G1 either. Gosh, with Lottie in the mix my husband's not coming off well in my list of p...

Re: Garmin Asus10 and Asus50 Phones.
I've been meaning to write a review of my A10 but feel like I haven't used it enough for geocaching yet to really comment. Here's what I think so far: Good * It is not an iPhone; it is a real GPSr . * Always have gmail and twitter open. I am in touch with all the friends who live in my computer (and...

Re: Burke & Wills Project
Anyone who can get to Tassie should REALLY do the B&W cache here! SG-3's caches are always awesome, and this one was no exception. The only problem was that as it's a puzzle I can't post photos of the awesomest bits of it. Just take my word for it - it's well worth doing!

Re: geocaching.com Android app released!
The main limitations are more to do with the fact that it's a phone, not a dedicated GPSr. The accuracy is pretty ordinary, and the battery life with the screen on and the GPS running isn't great, so you wouldn't just leave it on and glance at occasionally the way you're used to. Get the Garmin~Asu...

Re: Puzzle caches - solved but not found
I do the same thing as setsujoku, i.e. put in the corrected coords into GSAK and use 2 filters. I try to remember to put the solution to the puzzle into user notes (then if one part of the puzzle is changed for some reason by the owner I don't have to do the entire puzzle again) and also use user no...
