I use the RSS feed to determine if I can be bothered reading a thread. If I see a lot of posts in the feed that I know I don't want to read, I just ignore that thread when I click on the new posts webpage. I have had the app installed previously on my iPod Touch and now on my new iPhone. While it does install on Touch, it is next to useless.
