Re: Are iPhones bad news for GCA?
I do almost all my caching with an iphone 4s. The app I use is geosphere because it handles both GC caches and GCA caches. I can update my weeping angels live in the field. I can log to both GC and GCA. I can sort and find just about any way I want to (size, difficulty, terrain, age, etc, etc). I ca...

Re: Let's Talk Angels!
There was no rule against moving your own angel this year was there? Ours has become becalmed. Sure you can. From the Rules: - You can find and move your own cache during the game period provided it is not the caches first move - Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing t...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thanks C@W. PC with FF 25.0 and it works OK.
Unfortunately, IPAD2 running IOS7.0.4 with safari or atomic browsers crashes - it starts to load the map then closes the app and goes back to the home screen.

Re: We're coming!
I should have said that swimming and surfing at Manly Beach are an attraction for many people. Right now the water temperature is 67 farenheit which is fresh but swimmable.

Re: We're coming!
Manly has some great walks. Either along the harbour foreshore (come out of the wharf and turn left and keep going) or along the beachfront to Shelly Beach (come out of the wharf, straight across the lights, up The Corso to the beach front, turn right and keep going). If you like cafes there is no s...

Re: Early idea for 2013/2014 race
If you move your pointer so it is over the QR Code and then right-click you should get the option to "Save Image As". When I do it I can save it as "canvas.png". Maybe you had you pointer in the wrong place.

http://imgcdn.geocaching.com/cache/large/336cc7a6-8536-4ca0-97a1-2940dbde2dcf.jpg First timer question. I picked up a cherub from Bunnings (see photo - $5 bargain!). It's ceramic so would shatter if dropped but otherwise seems pretty solid. Is this the sort of thing to send out as a movable? Should...

Re: Trig history - Ku-ring-gai Chase and West Head
I borrowed the book from the library and am enjoying it enormously. Here is an extract from the Acknowledgements that may resonate with some people (myself included): "Finally I thank my wife Andrea for her support. While she does not share my odd obsessions she cheerfully accepts them and occasiona...

Thanks Roger! Plus it's available for loan from Forestville Library or viewing at Dee Why Library Local Studies Section (which is 5 minutes from where I live).
