Re: Geocaching Business Card

I just made my own credit card size laminated card to keep in my wallet and show people whenever I'm asked "What are you doing?". The text is pretty straight forward..... GEOCACHING is an exciting, family friendly, treasure hunting game using a handheld GPS unit or a GPS enabled smart phone. Contain...

Re: A sim for Italy

On a recent trip to Canada I was recommended to get TravelSim. I looked into it and it seemed very good. You purchase the TravelSim card and place it in your own phone. I decided in the end not to take a phone as I was on an organised tour so I don't have any first hand knowledge of its use. It appe...

Re: FTF Prizes - Usual Practice

I have placed 3 x $1 Scratchies as a FTF prize in all my caches as a way of simply saying thank you for being the first to get out there and hunt it down. It's just a small thing but I like to do it and it certainly is not mandatory to have FTF prizes.

Re: What is a mega event?

A geocaching event is where people who enjoy the activity come together at a picnic, at a restaurant, coffee lounge, camp for a weekend, etc, to socialise, swap travel bugs and generally discuss all things geocaching. This could be 5 people, 20 people, whoever turns up. For an event to achieve Mega ...

Re: Geotalk Epsiode 86 - free podcast about geocaching

Another enjoyable podcast. You do a great job Darren. Come on Geocachers, we need more of you to phone in those exciting caching experiences you all experience. It's great to hear the calls but it's been a bit light on of late.

Re: BIG Little Geocaching Event

So will this event be listed on GC.com or GCA.com?

It sounds like it could be a whole lot of fun.

Re: Geotalk podcast Episode 85 - Oz Mega Event Albury

Another fantastic episode of Geotalk Spindoc. I really enjoyed listening to the comments of those interviewed and it brought back great memories of my time down in Albury. I can't believe I was the only one to phone in a report while at the Mega. Keep up the good work!

Re: Garmin GPSMAPS 62s from overseas

I recently bought a 62s from Johhny Appleseed here in Sydney. The advantages of buying locally for me are: 1. It comes with Australian Warranty. 2. If something goes wrong I can take it straight back to the person I bought it from and speak to them face to face. 3. You hand the money to the retailer...
