That looks like a great pile of info. Will pull them down at work tomorrow or Monday rather than over the dialup though. 2MB d/l at work :D

Thanks for putting that together.

Richary (Richard) is also from Adelaide, just me on this team. Have had a GPS for about 3 years when I got a 4WD (the GeoZook). Read about caching a while ago and tried unsuccesfully to find a few when I lived at Gosford near Sydney so gave up. Was reintroduced to it by Team Raider and Team Stargaze...

I have been to Belangalo a few years ago before I was into caching and both me and the ex thought the place felt a bit weird. I wonder if not knowing the history the feeling would still have been there? i.e. is there genuinely a bad vibe about the place or just because we know the history that we pe...

$120,000 is a pretty good package for Sydney. House prices are the scary thing there now, if you wanted to buy. Have a look at www.domain.com.au which will give you an idea of rental and purchase prices. Affordable if you move out to the Blue Mountains or Central Coast but be prepared for a long dri...

A couple of comments here... When I first got the 4WD I bought one of the normal eTrex units. A couple of months later received another one as a present from my ex's sister from Hawaii. Didn't open it until about 3 months later when I decided to give it to my sister who was going to Antarctica. Afte...

The other option for keeping food fresh is vacseal meat. Check with your local butcher, there is probably someone who does it in your area. Here I can get it done at an extra $1 a bag. Basically they suck all the air out and red meat should keep for about 2 weeks and chicken etc for about 1 week. As...

That would give you a surprise if you suddenly found it in a cache without warning  Need to have bigger caches than are common here!

Wouldn't be that accurate though, I would hate to be told to find a cache given nothing better than map 185, D4  But to get you in the general area could work.

Unluckily here in Adelaide the maps don't always run consecutively in the UBD, some are staggered off centre :(

Yes, it has the www.geocaching.com logo on it. But only a 4 digit number which doesn't track. Wasn't listed as being in the cache, I wonder if the original owner needed to activate it somehow?

I had a US geocoin which showed up on the stats fine.

Canadian geocoins

Found my first Canadian geocoin the other day, but unlike the US ones they don't appear on the List of items found page even after reporting it on the geocoins.ca website.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I certainly wouldn't agree with them posting cache is destroyed type messages when it's not. I guess in some cases it might be an honest mistake but not if it is the same people regularly. I have been to caches where I see things that could have been a cache but then found the real one. A case of no...

Yeah, 1 * should imply wheelchair access. My latest (Courage Under Fire) you could get to within about 3 feet by wheelchair but then would be blocked so I added half a star.

Actually, I tend to agree. Points don't count to me, apart from maybe local friendly rivalry with people I know. So someone has found more than me? So what, I don't intend to be the top cahcer is Oz. Just figured it would be an interesting thing to do, on a tough cache check out logs vs what is in t...

Nope, this was about 3:30. They were on foot, walked from the city side, did the deed and kept going before turning north at Morphett Road. Have entered a note in the cache log, be interesting to see if they still log it. I figure seeing it is one thing, but retrieving and replacing is part of the c...
