From GSAK Help "Export HTML Files Dialog Box (File=>Export=>HTML)" Use this dialog box to create a folder of HTML files and associated graphics files. You can use these files to view cache descriptions when you don't have an Internet connection. Alternatively, you download this folder to a PDA (Pock...

I use GPXSonar v1.4 on my PPC for looking up cache details - http://gpxsonar.homeip.net/default.aspx <P>I always have my bookmark for http://mobile.geocaching.com.au/ handy if in mobile phone range and it's been a while since I copied the GPX file to my PPC. <P> I haven't tried it myself, but wonder...

As of this posting, this topic has had 44 replies and 1102 views - even with some regular refreshes (if these are counted), that's a lot of lurkers! Lurking is not necessarily a bad thing - all the various views posted have been relevant to the topic, clearly this issue is getting considerable thoug...

interest in fridge magnets as geoswag

anyone interested in buying 50mm x 50mm fridge magnets as a swap item?

If we (collectively) pinged all 300 active community members for $10AUD per year as a donation, we come nowhere near the dollar cost to keep the server running. I'll assume that the coders would provide their time gratis. If one in ten decided that keeping the GCA site running was a good thing and ...

my 2c worth on donations... I would be more inclined to pay a low monthly amount via paypal or similar than a larger amount once a year (any similarity to any other site, dead or alive is purely coincidental etc etc). My rationale, apart from smoothing cash flow, is that a set and forget method is l...

Now that's what I like about the GCA site... never in denial about the potential for a problem, and cheerfully fixed, normally pretty promptly.
<P>THANKS to all at work behind the scenes maintaining and improving the site :D

Same deal with Monaro TB Tank http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gcrrne.<P> I have manually "unarchived" it on the GCA site, but the next day it shows up as archived again :?: :?: Also had to manually import some logs - looks like the feed is a bit sporadic... a gc.com conspiracy

Check Start -> Settings -> System tab -> Power icon -> Standby tab and try adjusting the standby period. I tend to leave mine on 72 hours in case I get caught interstate without the AC charger (although I can USB charge if I have my laptop). <BR> I also turnoff wifi and BT when not being used, which...

Personally I like either of the two original designs ... the rest really don't communicate anything to do with geocaching to me. :? <P>Seconded :) , either of the two original designs captured "geocaching" and "australia" for me. I suspect the states will have little relevance to overseas geocacher...
