I too commented about this in my post. I wouldn't call the GS reaction "strange" as CamBendy did, but I do think GS "temporarily disabled" Sven's caches with unseemly haste (as in one day after the poor guy had passed away).

Oh no. I feel for his partner and children. He loved geocaching, you could tell that. I'm going to miss him.

Groundspeak have disabled all his caches.
"Pending further guidance from family, this geocache listing has been temporarily disabled by Groundspeak."
That was pretty fast...

That's nice, but I'll wait for the next model that has that radar-image-in-the-ground function.

That kids pack looks absolutely fantastic TwoDrews! And you're right about it looking like it has a higher value than it's actual cost. Just shows what can be done with a bit of forethought and effort. I think it's an awesome idea and might look at putting together a kids kit of my own to leave beh...

I've seen the news reports. I'd rate it as a 1.5/1.5. These guys are amateurs.

I hope to convert at least 1 muggle this year as well. Have not yet picked a victim though. That's a good goal. If we all did that the sport would stay healthy. I've got a target selected. He knows about caching and is sort-of interested. And last week he said he'd like to come out caching with me ...

I didn't get any right, does that make me a bad geocacher? Mind you, with 5 DNFs out of six attempts yesterday I think I know the answer...

My goals for this year are: - fill in my calendar, but with only 88 days done so far it's probably going to take me until 2013 to finish. - thoroughly explore and complete the caches in my new home town of Bendigo with an eye to... - placing a few caches of my own around town to stir up the locals! ...

I DID however make an effort and make some suitable stash notes for the Gnomes I entered but it took me days. I'm just not efficient at such things. Okay, can I help? I have the tools, and I can give you some files that you just print out with your name and phone number on them. I'm only too happy ...
