UHF or VHF
We are considering buying a hand held Radio for when we are on the road, and out caching etc. I have know idea about these type of things and was wondering if anyone here may be able to point me in the right direction. The only thing that I have gathered is the the higher the wattage the better the ...

Our Days just got shorter
I heard on the ABC today that the earthquake in Chile has caused the earths axis to be shifted by 8cm, this in turn has caused us to be spinning slightly faster, giving us shorter day (less time for caching :( ). I also assume that we will need to be looking for caches 8cm from the actual GZ from no...

Re: Download GPX to oregon
It sounds like you are just up loading the waypoint itself. I use Export => GPX/LOC file to send the GPX file to my oregon. you can find it by clicking on File in GSAK (once the DB that you want to export is on the screen) then hover over "Export" and click on GPX/Loc File from the drop down list. g...

Searching web site for caches by GA code
Should entering the GA code into the search box on the GCA home page take you to the cache page? it works if I enter the cache name, but not the number.

This was all I was looking for Thanks C@W. I don't think I will be setting any records soon as there are not enough to find locally.

Most GCA caches in a Day
I have been looking at the Caching Records on the wiki, and see that there does not seem to be a listing for "Most GCA caches in a day" Have I miss it or is it not there??

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Worked perfectly
only hope that the change does not upset any one else's filters etc.
Thanks for the help, hopefully this should make it easier for others to automate the retrieval and use of the GCA Queries, as well.
Cheers

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Ok I have had a play with it and it does seem to be related to the "Subject" line of the email. The Subject line with a GC Query is "[GEO] Pocket Query: Albury 1" Albury 1 being the name of the Query, as Albury is the first word the query will be place into my "Albury" DB The suject line with a GCA ...

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Looking at this again, I am not sure that it is the name of the zipped file that makes the difference, but it is the name of the Query. Not sure how this works, but it seems to be linked to the Subject line in the email also. As Jardry said, GCA queries start with the word "Geocaching" GC ones just ...

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Thanks Jardry, that may work fine, but I have more than one GCA query and would like to load them into different DBs so need the ability to name them accordingly. I thought it was working on the name of the Zipped file. in my case it will automatically down load the file 1666.zip, but not load it to...

Re: GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Macro is call "PQ Loader" it automatically grabs the queries from the server and loads them into the DB of the same name. Details here It nice in the fact that if you have different PQs that you want in different DBs, it is all done automatically, and you don't have to be a programmer to work it out...

GCA PQs with PQ loader in GSAK
Is anyone using PQ loader macro to automate the import of GCA PQs into GSAK?
It works great with GC PQs, but the way the GCA ones are named seems to stop it working.
Any ideas

Re: How much distance is covered in the decimal degree?
Go Here and download this free little bit of software, you can then enter two sets of coords and it will calculate the distance between them. it will also to Coord conversion and a few other useful thing as well
