Gnome creates a bit of a stir
Someone on the Tas geocaching facebook page just posted a link to a recent article in the Gladstone Observer about a suspicious gnome. It all ended happily. http://m.gladstoneobserver.com.au/news/police-camp-out-over-dopey-tip/2588580/ There may be call for a log or two on "The Long Arm of the Law"!

Re: 10 Years as a listing service
Wooohoooh =D> , happy anniversary, and lots of thanks to hiders, finders, movers, coders, moderators, and faeries. Although I'm not out finding as much as I used to I still haunt the forums and appreciate GCA's awesome features and the extras it adds to the caching experience. There are some good ca...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
One issue and one idea: Issue: I use Firefox (26.0) on a MacBook Pro (in case either of these bits of information matters). When I have a gca google map open and I click on a cache, the really useful little quote box opens up with the data about cache name, type, hider, and recent log types shows up...

Re: GCA stats
Chances are you have some overseas finds. The faeries ensure that Australian finds (mostly) appear automagically; but you will need to do a manual import of your other finds. If you're a premium GC member then this is easy: you just do a MyFinds pocket query and import the lot into GCA. The wiki exp...

I hid <snip> thirty six other caches along several kilometres of riverside walking track. I think in total there were thirty two unique numbers there. I wonder what the odds would be that someone could take a short walk and fill an entire card in one hit! Okay -- life is currently getting in the wa...

Re: Scouting Cachers
My Jamboree experience begins Boxing day, hopefully, with helping to set up the Billabong admin area, and tearing it down at the end, and of course, making many many birds. That's a pretty impressive non sequitur (especially with "and of course"!) Can I suppress my curiosity until I get the...

Re: help with google maps please
Possible solution: Make sure you are logged in (before clicking off to get the map, check the top right corner of the GCA page to see that you are logged in as oldfella). Sometimes logins drop out, and you need to log in again to get access to stuff.

Re: App for iPhone
I'm not sure if it has been said, but Geosphere will import (at least a goodly portion of) GCA cache data. There's another thread about it somewhere ... ahhh: http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopi ... 12&t=17432
