Re: Garmin Oregon GPS "can't authenticate maps" - Help!

I'm about out of ideas then lol. My new maps I bought on an SD card and plugged and played. The only other thing I could think of would be load the maps from CD to SD without the gps unit then put the card into the device but I think you have covered that

Re: Garmin Oregon GPS "can't authenticate maps" - Help!

Have you changed the settings for maps to recognise the SD card, or the specific map file?

Re: Australian Power Trails

yeah I had a thought that might be the case lol. I notice neither person has ever posted here. Maybe it should be suggested they place GCA caches if they need to use the area ;)

Re: Caching games this year?

As a rough guide this is the process in tasmania for vehicle (bikes trailers) and cars: Anywhere from 2 hours to 5 days we start getting calls on it and a bike will be seized and taken to the station. A trailer or car will be checked for registered owner who will be contacted. If it isnt registered ...

Re: Caching games this year?

I was wondering if someone would enter an old bomb car and get people to drive it a km down the road and then walk back to there transport. An expensive cache? I've got one sitting there and seriously considered it. Legal complications with the 1km move have dissuaded me. You'd end up parking it ou...

Re: Dakota strange behaviour

Make sure you delete your finds from the gps when you load a new file. I doubt thats enough to fill your memory but the little buggers will hang around in your memory unless you chase them out

Re: Apple maps not working well in Geosphere after iOS6 download

I got the same. I think that geosphere works on the mapping from the hardwares files so I doubt it will go back to google maps.

Re: Australian Power Trails

I am one of the minority out there who isn't a big fan of power trails. But a few nights ago, I broke my oath, teamed up with a friend and did an 11km run for 50+ caches in a Canberra nature reserve. But it isn't a power trail, because: - We weren't driving, we were running. - Power trail caches ha...
