Dang !! It's all a bit moot now :( All that time sneaking around outside of libraries, council chambers and cheap motels with my PDA in hand, hoping for a usable signal to surf the web will be a thing of the past  Finally Maccas provide a happy meal of free WiFi, just days before I get wireless...

Yeah, I'm game
Yes I have been very interested in video gaming and computer gaming for over 25 years :D Back in the good old days I had a 'Microbee' computer on which I played Asteroids and Defender and even one of the first role playing/solve the puzzle games. Wish I could remember what it was called :o Moved up...

Mac woo hoo
I've been waiting for this since it was announced last year :D I can see this being useful, as Papa Bear left said, for checking on those picture clues. Especially on pushbike rides where I am travelling with just the GPSr and PDA :D I'm not going to be giving up my local bakery addiction though :P...

FTF ? Aaaargh no !!
I must admit it is difficult to get a FTF on a cache in Brisbane these days, but I ocassionally fluke one  In latter years I have focused more on chasing the FTF on the more difficult caches that pop up. That is: Caches in the nearby country areas which involve a bit of a drive (weekdays off wo...

Was FTF on "Beyond The Cavern" any less sweet for its being a GCA cache, If?
There's a couple more waiting for you when you get a chance to do "XoE - Down The Back"
PS: Supporting evidence for FTF fever

Who came second ? I've forgotten.
Yah! FTF :D Such a great feeling. Despoiling a completely empty logbook with my scrawl is one of those moments to be savoured in caching :P FDF just sounds lame, sorry  Oh dear I couldn't get out of bed early enough, Oh dear I didn't see the listing come up, Oh dear I had to drop the kids off...

Gimme a lift up would ya !!
I tried to find the two caches on Mt Warning one rainy day a couple of years ago, but was beaten by ambiguous clues and even more ambiguous satellites  I've climbed up there several times over the years and will climb up there again sometime :D Mountains were put there to climb and damned if a...

Re: Damn micros
Failing that you could do what I do and leave a couple of spares in the car. I've tried that ! It doesn't help  I just checked. There are twenty two spare pens and pencils in the car :D Not one of them has ever reminded me to take one of them with me as I enthusiatically leapt from said car ...

Maybe the real problem lies with the Earth itself ?
Apparently it moves
That's gotta affect the accuracy of any GPS system
Seriously, do we really want spot on coords ? It takes away the "search" bit of a find (sometimes)

Merry Christmas
A great day for inner city micros,
but it was a tough day for finding caches at picnic areas, campgrounds and roadside rest areas

Yes :D I always remove razor blades and those pesky el cheapo retractable knives or scrapers that some people seem to think make great swaps for the geokiddies , or damaged, waterlogged and rusty items  Those rotten moist towlettes and napkins from the local fast food outlet are also a favour...

Prohibition didn't work people .... !!
So what will happen when the internet grinds to a virtual halt and the economy goes further down the drain because of some goody two shoes organisations in league with Mr Rudd and his not so multi-cultural buddies :? The pedophiles resort to coded emails and start sending all their stuff via overnig...
