Palette

I don't have a preference, but I guess a websafe color palette would be a good starting point if there was going to be concern.

However I imagine the average user is now generally using at a minimum a monitor capable of at least 65,536 so it's not too much of a concern.

Icons vs Images

There seems to be some confusion/misunderstanding here, or perhaps it's just me once again. Ah, that damned thing called terminology! Yes, in Operating Systems terms, an icon is a specific 32x32 pixel image of a particular format, saved independently as a ico file at least in Windows, and if you ha...

Caching Icons

Following an altercation between gravity and my Ipaq, my caching adventures are at a temporary halt at the moment. (Anyone with contacts for places to obtain a IPAQ 5500 series glass in Melbourne or elsewhere in Australia, please contact me) So, to break some work monotony, I'm going to spend a litt...

Have a look at the UBD website (Cdrom section - City Streets). There is a section there on auto routing and it's pc based. I have not inquired about pricing though. Currently UBD maps are not suitable for Oziexplorer, though they have told me that version 3, due out in November, will 'interface wit...

Unfortunately, I don't have much to directly assist Cached. I usually sit down with OziExplorer, then filter the targeted caches in GSAK. Once I've finished planning, I print an overview map, then I run my exports, and start the route planning in Destinator. Note Destinator's route optimising is lim...

Tips for the cost conscious cacher... Campervans

Following discussions with some cachers at last night's Victorian Fun & Exciting Event, I promised to post some details on here. For cost conscious cachers, or even cachers looking to do something different for their next holiday/caching expedition, have you thought of bringing a campervan back on i...

Instructions are in the following topic . But basically, login at the moment to gallery.geocaching.com.au as Username: gcauser Password: 2teaPOT And from there you can create appropriate galleries along the way. Preference would be to stick any new galleries in an appropriate group category - such a...

I'll be putting together a team page - going to try and add some cool features like TB Google Earth tracks and the like.

And it's barrack:) (second meaning)

Ashes TB race still happening...

For all those who are wondering what's going on with the Ashes TB Race, the team is almost all sorted out, and the Aussie team will get a final update via email soon. The delay has been tracking down Davester to find out what's happening at the UK end. When he's back in the picture, there'll be more...

Who uses Locationless Analyser

Before more time's expended on working on the feature request outlined in http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=3780 does anyone actually use the Locationless Analyser at the moment, and is there enough interest in having it able to analyse GCA Locationless caches?

Any chance of looking into adding the fragment identifiers into the GPX/HTML so Thot can take a look at adding it into his program?

Direct linking on GC.com... wow, what a novel concept. The better way may be to apply the following changes to GCA's phpbb forum code: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=47052 This would allow a link to be created using username in the GCA forum. Instead of http://forum.geocaching.com.au/pro...

Yes!

If you can add the Locationless Caches around the world back into the daily updates, then it will resolve the problem entirely.

Thanks

Import Wizard

Reading further in this topic area, I might just wait until the Import Wizard is in place then, rather than giving i! something to do that takes him away from working for the greater good :)
