Re: Sharing an Information Sign for a Multicache
As long as there are no physcial containers on the signs (for either cache) and they are listed as question to answer (for both caches) you should be right.

Re: Caching Swap - Where have they gone?
Personally I don't care and so didn't vote. I only care when caching with kids. As a hider, I am always disappointed that people don't stick to the guidelines when swapping something of equal or better value. With this common occurrence in mind, most of these caches may have started with swaps :sta...

Re: How many do I need to find to use a generic log
When I compelted one of the powertrails here I used a part generic log for the section of the 'story' as to who I was with and the day etc as that remained the same. I then added to each one a cache specific componant as well.

Re: Scouting Cachers
6 days before the competition starts. I know of at least one more ACT rover that's entered, so now i know im not doing it solo (what? Default winner? OK! I mean..) Our crew was considering entering a group but..i dont think that'll be happening (there's that whole rule about "team must find geocach...

Re: Dissapointing items in cache
Just to highlight the opposite, I completed a series yesterday with my 8 yr old and every cache had her rummaging through in delight as there were some great age appropriate swaps. That said I fear it won't last long as these caches are in town and are new, so over time I fear the swaps will disappe...

Re: a simple GeoGame and it's rules..
Perhaps assign different points to each cache, or area of caches, based on the effort required to find it, so caches further away or more remote are worth more points, reward the journey to find the cache. Likewise puzzles or multi's should earn more points (and of course GCA caches should be worth ...

Retreiving Comments on a Montana
Hi All, this probably will be really obvious when someone points it out but for the life of me I can't find it at the moment. When logging a cache as found on the Montana you then (at the next screen) get the option to edit the comment but I can't find a way back to that comment when I get home eith...

Re: What is a mega event?
Hi farcall100 and welcome to the addiction. A mega event is one where 500 cachers (individuals) will attend. It is a type of event cache (a get together) and not a physical cache, or collection of them.

Re: bulk downloading to my GPS
Yes, Pocket Queries (PQ) and GSAK will make your task a 5 min job. You simply download your PQ thorough GSAK and then sort it anyway you like before sending it to your GPSr. The number is only limited by the capacity of your GPSr. You can also keep track of your finds though GSAK as well (yes I like...

Re: Munzees!
I may be wrong but I believe you still need to go to the location to log it, you just don't need to scan anything.Yurt wrote:A virtual munzee, huh?
I'm guessing you log it from your desk using Street View!

Re: Open Street Map Australia
If you have an SD card in your Oregon, just copy the .img files in to the Garmin directory on the SD card, no need to install or run IMG2GPS. Then go to Setup -> Maps and enable the OSM maps. Easy as. Works great[/quote] Does anyone know if this now works on the Montana? When I originally loaded the...
