Review of the Magellan eXplorist 610
I've had a Magellan eXplorist 610 for the past four months and have enjoyed the experience. Paperless caching, decent maps and a very good still camera make it a great option if you're willing to fork out $500 for a GPSr. Anyway, my review is at http://darrenosborne.com/2012/03/16/magellan-explorist...

Geocaching on ABC Radio National
A colleague of mine at Radio National (Joel Werner) has a new program called Off Track - all about things 'off track'
The latest episode features geocaching - http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/pro ... ng/3829730

Re: Google maps and GCA usage
Might explain why the other site went to OSM/MapQuest. Would they serve up that many?

I thought geocachers were strange
Seems Mundoo's dirty little secret is out. OK, it's not so secret.

Well done Mundoo. Quite a good story about this wonderful, yet quirky, pastime.

Re: RIP Sven
I too had some correspondence with Steve and I'm equally shocked at his passing. Regarding GC.com: Before jumping to theories, could I suggest that it may have been at the request of the family. His brother is also a geocacher and has mentioned that he will take over maintenance of them - http://for...

Happy to say all is good. The Geomate Jr lives on ... for our family at least.

OMG. I got one for Isaac Christmas last year. It's a great device. At least there is a community looking at ways of updating it. I hope.

Re: NZ MEGA 2012 - an update
Dunedin is one of the few spots in NZ I haven't been to, so I'm looking forward to it. I also have some year 2000 caches to grab while there.
Unfortunately, the rest of The Spindoctors won't be there, but I will have at least one close relative in tow.

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
Here's my thoughts on Neongeo - http://darrenosborne.com/2012/01/17/neongeo-geocaching-app-review/ Overall, this is a great geocaching app packed full of features – and the list keeps on growing. Since I made the screen captures last month a number of new features have been added. If you’re looking ...

Re: Geotalk podcast Episode 81 - Munzee, OX and a Xmas song
Merry Christmas to you all. Hope Santa was good to you. Zal: He's answers were long, but when I listened back to it I decided it was best not to edit as there was a lot of good content in it. I'm not 100% sold on Munzee at this point in time, but I'm impressed by their enthusiasm and interaction wit...
