who else is NEARLY ready ? all machines are cloned to avoid any set backs, thinking of what else to pack for comfort, to many variables, not long to go now, getting excited

i had the same problem the other day with a machine that was still on gsak 6 , updated to gsak 8 and all good again

Girl tip - Touch everything, move everything, inspect everything.
Do not dismiss anything!

you must also return everything to it's place, after you have touched , moved and inspected everything everytime

the longer the gps is on the more data it has processed , thus reducing the inaccuracy, as will be witnessed if you use the averaging function on your gps while placing caches, that is a process in a process of making the gps it's most accurate

this happen to my garmin 12 quite a long time ago, i had inadvertently turned the gods off and the gps would just keep searching.
if i could just find it to try to remember how, have you tried finding the complete manual ?
