Re: not so easy....

Report the loss to the police station nearest to where you were when you saw it last. Someone may have found it and handed it in. I am sorry to hear you lost it. :-( Wendy PS You could also describe the GPSr here, and the location you were at when you lost it, in case it ended up near a cache, and o...

Re: The other kind of 'find'.

We have found all sorts of stuff on our travels, but most of it was rubbish, to be taken to the nearest bin. We have found several good sleeping bags, which we washed and took to my Mum, who gives them to homeless men in James Place, in Adelaide. One day we found a wonderful down and feather quilt o...

Re: question on moving cache

As Caught@Work so succinctly said, that logo on the cache page should tell you it's a moving cache. Most movables also have information about it being a movable, in the description.

Is this a cache you have found, or a hypothetical question?

Re: question on moving cache

Well, you don't HAVE to move it, but that is rather the point of movables. What you do is pick it up, take it home (or wherever), sign the log book, log online, do any swaps you might want to do, and take it to a nice new place. You find a place where it might be safe and happy until the next person...

We might all have mysteriously vanished by the time of the next race.

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

I'd like people to think VERY carefully before asking for another gnome race. These gnomes are insidious. They sneak into your affections. I know of at least two cachers who are desperately trying to get their gnomes back now, because they have become attached to them. :? Do we really need all the a...

Re: Gnomes to the Moon

We had a gnome event in Canberra today, and lots of people found gnomes. Some of those gnomes will be put out again tomorrow, so that should put a few miles on the clock, too.

Easy peasy! What's our next task?

Re: Gnomes to the Moon

When I checked at 7pm, we had 1,029.15km to get to the moon.

When I refreshed the page at 8pm, it said, 492.77km to get to the moon. Nearly!!!!!

Re: Dubbo cachers

Well, you get to log a find on him, for a start. After that, I think tronador wants him back in Sydney. I guess that means he would appreciate it if you could move the gnome in that direction. If you were going to Sydney, that would be ideal, but even a few kilometres in the right direction would he...

Re: Gnomes to the Moon

We have just logged gnomes from our overnight foray to the coast, so that should help a tiny bit.

Re: Geocaching in Sydney 24 - 26 Feb 2011

It will probably be hot and humid. Bring a hat and light clothing. Lots of Sydney people will probably come here to suggest some great caches - and sights - for you to investigate. I only know about the oldest still-existing cache in Australia - I think it's at Lane Cove. I don't know the number, bu...
