Re: Opencacaching.org.uk closes
So I sought my GSAK via last GPX date to find and eliminate dead caches. Trouble is now I can't update my OC.uk caches. Anyone know how to manually hack a GPX file and manually change the last GPX date to some time in 2050?

Opencacaching.org.uk closes
I went to download my finds PQ from the UK Opencaching site today and it now redirects to GC.com. They had trouble a few month back when the main admin could no longer maintain the site. Someone else did step in but it looks like the movement has ended in the UK. The other Euro sites seem to b...

Re: Huangshan Geopark (GCA invades China)
Its a glacial "Erratic". Erratics are stones plucked by moving ice and transported to new locations as the glacier slides slowly along. Sometimes this can be many kilometres. This boulder would have been plucked during the last ice age when the whole Huangshan area was under an ice sheet. As the ice...

Huangshan Geopark (GCA invades China)
On our trip to China this year the fiancee took me to one of the most spectacular places I've ever been, Huangshan. Direct translation is "The Yellow Mountains" and while there is a lonely Earth Cache there I came across something much more exciting... trigs! The whole area is covered with GPS marke...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Minor text edit - After you submit a rating on a cache, there is an erroneous "D" just hang out below the success message that the rating was added.

Re: Pokemon Go
It has been confirmed you can't hatch regionals from eggs, except your region of course. So they are a visitor, traveller, or spoofer. St Mary's Cathedral is a known Omanyte hot spot. More rares have been popping up in Chatswood but not enough to specifically hunt them.

Re: Pokemon Go
There's 151 in the Pokedex. You can collect up to 250 different Pokemon in your bag (with copies). I don't know where the 720 comes from. The rarest (evolvable starter) ones for me: Seel (1 only) --> Circular Quay Pikachu (1 only) --> Centennial Park (North near gates) Vulpix (4 in the first week, ...

Re: Pokemon Go
Zhaoy is definitely more keen to get out with GO than caching these days so that is great to get us out together. We are both on about 130 with a few evolutions up our sleeves for when we next activate a free lucky egg. Will need some updates soon to hold the interest though.

Re: GeosportZ 2016
Huge thanks to SdL and Louise Ann for the most fun month of caching in a long time! It took a lot of effort and I'm stoked the hard work paid off \:D/ I had the luxury of being in Sydney with its huge cache density and GSAK was the tool of choice that allowed me to find caches with the appropriate s...

Re: GeosportZ 2016
I'll be happy to share after the game ends. GSAK was really the biggest helper for locating caches of a particular size that met each criteria. I still haven't put it past the craftier members of the community to have 11 caches ready to publish at 11:59pm on the 31st

Re: GeosportZ 2016
Yep, lots of micros! Had to do some driving to reach appropriate caches. There were a few events which if you read carefully didnt require a physical cache, so GCA virtuals scored really low there. Also I hunted down a few trads that had "unknown" or "other" as the size... so again super low points ...
