Re: April 1st
Caught a few people with my Pico Caches (1/1000the the size of a Nano!) with a picture of a butterfly for the 'product'. It was great how many people played along, totally made a stressed out day very fun! So many cachers quit yesterday, the rates were alarming! #-o I knew what pico meant...

Re: Etrex Problem
This might sound silly or obvious, but my magellan does a very similar thing when the batteries are flat if I've left it turned on. I'm sure you've tried this already.

Re: c:geo offline maps
This is going off topic now but... I have been using it by creating GPX files from gsak and loading them into c:geo As they have said may times on the website, Google charging for maps has nothing to do with the live map problem, groundspeak just did it at the same time. Looking at there facebook p...

Re: c:geo offline maps
I got this to work on the weekend while away camping. I was board waiting for something or other and thought I'd give it a go. My GPS's batteries were flat so had to do something caching :-" From my smartphone I went onto GC and made a PQ. Seconds later when that was ready, I went via the email to m...

Re: Anyone know what sistemas are made of?
I've tried the above, but the main problem with plastice is the flexibility of it. Superglue products set stiff, with no flexibility. If it is rigid enough, use plumbers primer and glue, or if it is a bit more flexible use sikaflex. Sikaflex goes on like thick honey and sets like s*@t to a blanket, ...

Has anyone said yet- "While watching the flooding on TV, you wonder how many caches are getting washed out to sea"?
Been thinking it a bit this summer.

Re: A step up from a mirror on a stick.
Handy for termite inspections I would think, also other applications like looking for blockages in pipes I guess. By the sound of it there isn't much that hasn't been used at Bifrost. Ground penetrating radar springs to mind. Divining sticks and a spiritual medium are probably next on the list........

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted
Heeeeeeeelp. I've just been struck by the minimalist cache logger. Never thought too much about it, I've been guilty of it myself before reading this thread quite a while back. And that was when I had 180 or 190 to log, from one weekend. I have a series that takes people through a state forest and u...

Re: Top Caches in the world
Some big number of finds in amongst these lemmykc that's for sure. 5500, 6800, you would surely bump into the odd fellow cacher or two at these. Pity I didn't concentrate on German at school to be able to read some of them though #-o This might sound like a silly question for you though lemmykc - di...

I too would like my user name changed. From "browngang" to "Browngang". pretty easy task one would assume.

Re: No cache size? No hint? What the?
POTENTIAL SPOILER AHEAD - I see one of Yurt's difficult ones is called "The pergola". Here's what I would do- say it is an extra dummy roof rafter or the like. That is asking for the structure to be dismantled. If I came up with such a great hide, I would mark it (the fake rafter)with say the GC em...

Re: No cache size? No hint? What the?
I fail to get how a container size can truly be unknown. If it is a nano stuck in a larger, placed item then it should be listed as a micro ie. if it is a nano type container glued into a larger "rock" or something at least if it is listed as micro then the cacher won't be trying to overturn huge bo...

Re: Cache difficulty/terrain ratings
I have found one a little while ago that was a 5/5. But, I could see it in plain view 15 meters down the cliff face perched on a rock, before I made the descent. We all left thinking that it was way over rated in difficulty and should have been a 1/5, as it wasn't really even hidden. http://coord.in...
