Time to Get Fair Dinkum? [closed]
This thread was prompted by a discussion in another place in the Forum ( http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=8935 ). See the responses to that thread for the background. I was going to reply there, but decided that the discussion didn't belong in that thread. I would value others' comment...

Re: Abandoned Caches
OK, ok - its GCJOM4 No Sign of Romeo. Been there for 3.5 years and only found 9 times. However the log book is nearly full of comments! What really surprises me about that cache is that Derringer hasn't done it! It should be a walk in the park for them! Car-cache-car in three hours? Consider...

Yes, we should stop gardenbed hides as well as ... In rocks (crushed fingers). You've got my vote on that one! Geez, I hate 'em in rocks! However, my objection to garden bed caches is the potential damage that will occur, not the danger of needles. Needles can be found anywhere, and I have ev...

The Cache was Click Click ... Dont Walk. (I must say that the cache owner in this case "Emma" has done exactly this and removed the cache) I wouldn't be too effusive with the praise for making the cache safe. One of the very early DNF logs reported needles in the area, and "Emma" unceremoniously de...

Not sure what a DAST map is, . . . DAST means DiscoverAus Streets and Tracks--the version before DiscoverAus Topo.
I'm a bit surprised that the base map comes into play when you zoom out. How do you know when the base map turns on and DiscoverAus Topo turns off? Does the XL tell you somehow? <p...
