Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

C:geo FREE! Nuvifone up another peg. If I can get Oziexplorer on it, the Garmin 450 will retire to the cupboard for all but "Chirp" caches.

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

The Vodafone SIM wouldn't work because the phone is locked to Optus. $80 to break free if you need to use another network. Sounds like you got stooged, I don't know of anyone who got a locked one from dick smith. I know mines not, and everyone who has tested it (from the reports I've read on whirlp...

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

Hi bshwckr, Have you upgraded it yet to Android 2.1? I bought one, and upgraded immediately. So much better. The Vodafone SIM wouldn't work because the phone is locked to Optus. $80 to break free if you need to use another network. Cheers! Yes I upgraded to 2.1 before I done anything so cannot comp...

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

I couldn't resist it and bought the Asus Nuvifone A50 on special from Dick Smith. First impressions.... glad I have an iPhone! I am by no means an Apple fan boi but the iPhone does everything so much better except for the GPS. The GPS in the Nuvifone is equal to my Garmin 450. It picked up nicely on...

Re: Geosphere (iOS) update - now available

The new version of Geosphere has a new waypoint averaging function. This would now make it possible to use the iPhone to accurately place a new cache.

Re: iPhone Apps for geocaching

So Google knows my wifi's location because it captured this when gathering Streetview data? I feel violated

Re: iPhone Apps for geocaching

The one thing that concerns me, you do not appear to need to log on to get the location data. Unless it found a cookie from my geocaching app??? Can someone without their geocaching login details on their iPhone please try this? It's grabbed your location from your phone. HTML5's geolocation featur...

Re: iPhone Apps for geocaching

Found this while browsing the www last night on the iPhone. http://iphonecaching.appspot.com/ It is a free web app designed for the iPhone. It has some sweet features such as loading the coordinates into Navigon and a few other programs for navigation to the cache. The other feature I particularly l...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

Right. My Bunny :gnome now has a hat. It isn't a well-fitting hat, but it does match his scarf. Red and Green, of course. He isn't exactly waterproof, as the door in his tummy isn't watertight, but I think he'll stand up to a few showers, and I've put the log book in a plastic baggy. He's ready to ...

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011

Ok. This is just embarrasing. I've gone from having just one gnome, to four. I have a scout, a pirate, a ...rocky horror inspired (best way to describe it 8-[ ), and a bogan gnome. i think i may of confused someone at bunnings too! I have not been following this thread at all and know nothing about...
