Re: Burke and Wills GCA Anniversary Project

Richary has alerted us to this project.
We are heading to Cameron Corner (from Gosfrord, via Broken Hill) to Innaminka and then into the Flinders Ranges at the end of June to mid July.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Re: Puzzle Ideas

Have a look at our cache Mardi Grass http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... wp=GC1299C for a puzzle I have used with Girl Guides, that uses compass directions. It is a fairly simple one as I used it with my Junior Guides unit.

A few years ago I also heard it was a sacred site and I have found these references to it being a sacred site.
This one mentions not climbing the mountain: http://www.visitlismore.com.au/cmst/vl001/view_doc.asp?id=926&cat=74 .
and this one says the path avoids the sacred areas: http://www.hi...

It sounds like the sponsor wants to place physical caches. But a few questions: 1. who will do this? 2. will they be paid for it? 3. who will maintain them? 4. will they be listed on gca or on the sponsor site? 5. if people log these caches will the sponsor have copyright over the logs and be able t...

We picked up all the bugs and coiins this morning.
We will grab them and then we will distribute them to other cachers in the next couple of days.

Thanks for sending them over Wombats, they are great.

Glad to hear you are still caching. It won't take you too long to cache the place out.
We are putting up with temps of about 6 degrees C here in Wyoming at night , up to about 17 or 18 degrees C during the day.
Enjoy the warmth.

Thanks for the help, both Caughtatwork and Pesky. We have now adopted the 2 GCA caches, one currently undergoing repair, and have also adopted the very first cache we found "Rumbalara Rocks".

A huge thank you to Wyoming Wombats for setting up these caches in the first place. :D :D

We use G7toCE on our PDA, and have a cable which connects the GPS (Garmin 76CS) to the PDA (and charges the PDA and runs the GPS via 12 volt).
We generate GPX and Oziexplorer files from GSAK and put them on the PDA. The program opens both and allows you to upload the waypoints to the GPS.
