Re: Extreme Geocaching
This topic came up some time ago and I went through all the active caches and tagged the ones which were 5 star D or T with an "extreme" tag and made a public query for both.

Re: Spam ... or an Oz cacher in distress?
I got the same message this morning and messaged her on Facebook to say it looked like her email account had been hijacked.
As caughtatwork said, it's a scam. Anyone that replies will most likely be given western union account details to transfer funds to.

Checked the various menus but I must be missing something unless it has disappeared (yeah I know, it's almost certainly my fault).

Re: www.nearmap.com
Perhaps coverage in rural areas wont be that great. Just checked a trig behind Jamberoo near Kiama which is in the nearmaps coverage area. Lacks clarity when compared to a trig I selected in Caringbah (Sydney). Probably only designed for large built up areas. Coverage depends on where customers hav...

Re: "Computer support" phone scam
I have been able to avoid these type of calls by not having a land line! Unlisted mobile number probably helps too. LOL. Having previously worked in banking I am quite aware of various phishing scams and methods people use for identity theft. Many times I have told people that they were being target...

A "new" member posts their first post and you notice they have joined the site several years ago and have just been lurking!
Oh, and I suppose posting to the forum on your phone during a couple of minutes break during work hours is up there too.

Re: opencaching.com GPX file import
Have I mentioned that I cannot use my GC/GCA caching name on OX? .. they insist on a minimum of 6 characters .. arghhhhh!!!! No wonder I had a quick play and quickly decided it was not worth it! HGL! I have vague recollections of an error message along those lines when I registered but then was abl...

Re: Geocaching on iphone
when I tried to log on to my geocaching app on my iphone it wouldn't take my user name password. In the Geocaching App settings there is a box titled "Geocaching.com Account Info" which you need to put in the username and password which you have used to create an account on http://www.geocaching.co...

Re: phone
Now I've got a work iPhone, I am looking at getting my cache notifications sent to one of my "spare" email accounts I have such as gmail. Has anyone tried anything with the PUSH gmail for iPhone, and exactly how it works, and does it kill the battery life as some forums would suggest. Otherwise I n...
