Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software
Finally did the SW update and phone indicates firmware version 2.1-update1. Have noticed though that the GPS Version is listed as V1.3.9 when under the old 1.6 firmware verson the GPS was V3.2.25. I'm assuming this will not be a good thing

Re: Launching Australia's "OZ MEGA ADVENTURE"
Given that NZ announced their intention to hold a mega event first, we will most likely support them - probably not possible to attend both within a short time of each other.

We also would rather attend the NZ Mega Event, preferably in 2012 because after all, their intention to hold an event was announced first!

The Queensland gnomes have been quiet, but we managed to catch a few partying done by a lake

We have been looking for an excuse to visit NZ again October would be our preference if there is an option.

Re: How many chances??
How many people can actually remember specifics of a cache (other than the few they, and not the cache owner, thought were memorable) many months after the find, especially if they are a prolific finder? We know that we may not be able to, even though we had legitimately found it. Although it is unl...

GCA home page not updating
Has something happened to stop the home page from updating and showing current users who are visiting the forums? The Queensland dashboard also still lists an event for 18th May.

Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
We have placed 2 anniversary caches (GA2115 and GA2116), but can't seem to link them to the locationless cache. Can't wait to see all the listings on 18 May

Re: Caching using notebook computer
While the log macro has the facility to state xx find of xxx etc, this can be disabled and you can write individual logs in the style you prefer. We find it useful when we have a number of finds as it is easier to write something just after you have visited the cache, rather than later that night wh...

Re: Logs from Oz Mega Cachers
Unfortunately, not everyone has the ability to write interesting logs, and not every cache placement is deserving of a decent log. We have occasionally written one word logs, and will continue to do so where the cache is of extremely poor quality (unless it has been placed by a newbie when we would ...

Re: GCA listings of caches in areas where geocaching is banned
Should GCA stop cache listings in some areas to cover for some cachers' wanting judgement? Should traffic authorities stop issuing drivers licences because people drive illegally? Should shopkeepers stop selling stuff, because people litter the streets? It seems that this subject is black or white....
