Re: Guess who's back, Paegle Boy's back

Welcome back mate, been a long time since we first meet at Wombyan Caves. That's the best thing about this is that you get out of it what you want to. Hope to cross paths again one day.

Re: Anyone ever get sacked (or nearly) for geocaching?

No trouble for me, before my move to Tassie, I worked for a Business that meant I sometimes had trips to the city or Canberra and always was able to fit in a little caching with bosses knowledge. A two day trip would sometimes run into three or four. Even took the pay accountant out one day as she w...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

I have received this a couple of times lately when trying to log on. Same sort of message when trying the caching page.

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013

Just a comment for future games. I see (and share) a big big frustration in people looking for moveables that have already been found. Maybe for next year's game, a general guideline could be about logging a FOUND within say an hour (it's not that hard with mobiles/ipads/tablets/free wifi). Quite a...

If you are looking at a Magellan look at there GC over the 110, as the GC unit is dedicated to geocaching.

Re: Effective Stealth Techniques

Kids are great as they have a natural way of climbing over any thing if you stand there long enough so people don't really pay much attention to a kid or two climbing jumping poking pulling etc. except for when they yell in a large voice I FOUND IT or ITS OVER HERE.

Re: Newbie thread: Which Magellan handheld GPS to buy?

Hi Taz, GPS units are like cars you are either a ford or a holden fan. The Magellan GC is a great base unit desized for geocaching. It only comes with a basic map but have never had an issue with the unit I have. I also run with Explorist 510 and the kids use the older 500. If you can the newer mode...

Re: Making non-live geocaches for a sporting day

could also be done on the GC site and I guess maybe the GCA site just right up the cache with all the details and info except don't hit the publish cache. You can print out copies and or load to GPS unit. Works well if you wish to hand out caches at an event for caches to find before they are publis...
