Re: "Computer support" phone scam

After waiting patiently for several months for my call from these scammers it finally came. Only problem was I had to visit the loo in a hurry and never got the chance to see how long I could string them out for. :( As someone who has used and worked with Windows and Linux based computer systems sin...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion

I posted a "Needs Archiving" note on TP5712 - Trial Hill as it is within the 3km exclusion zone around Lake Burragorang. I have checked this TP's location against the Bimlow (8930-2S 3rd Edition) topo map and it is well within the Schedule 1 zone. The SCA guidelines can be found here: http://www.sca...

Nice to see your name again. Made me remember the owl we saw doing your Lane Cove Lake cache. It was just sitting on a log in the rock overhang next to the track from the servo. We walked within a metre of it and it didn't move, amazing.

Re: Cycling Observations

Please tell us what YOU have passed or even picked up! I don't know where to start. You name it and I am sure I have seen it lying by the road. As a general rule I don't pick up anything, you never know where it has been. :D I do remember one thing that really got me going. At the end of an uninhab...

Re: Geocaching Video Presentation - Early History & Megacaches

Finally got around to watching the video. Thank you EcoDave for a very interesting presentation. Did not realise that Get Smart was so involved. You certainly don't see caches like those any more. You mentioned Geopup. Some of the old-timers may remember Geopup (possibly Australia's first and leadin...

Sounds fantastic. Have a good time, explore and if you get time do some caches.
